Where to bet on Pacific region matches (?)
I had Kameda picked to beat Ruiz this past Tuesday night (Tuesday night in Japan), but never could find a sportsbook that carried the match. Are there any sportsbooks online for US gamblers that carry matches from the Pacific region? If I could have placed a bet, I would have won!

You're lucky he was at home... that was a robbery

I wasn't lucky. I couldn't place the bet. Of course his being at home was a huge factor in his win. But I still couldn't place the bet.

I'm guessing that you don't know where to go to place bets on Pacific region fights either.

If 5Dimes or dsi aren't posting it, it won't be posted anywhere. Even hardcore gamblers/fans weren't talking about that fight, so why would they have a market that is A) hard to set a good number on. B) Won't receive anything but "sharp" action if you do get money on it?

If only we had access to the wonderful Euro books...

Thanks. I was wondering if the limitation was part of the limited access Americans have. I have been making picks since about late February of this year, but I don't have a lot of experience in betting in the sportsbooks.

            Sportsbook.com occasionally has them.

DSI is not a good boxing book, they only have the most major fights and are usually the last to open the lines.

Thanks. I have been using Sportsbook.com (in spite of several bad reviews I've seen) because they do have so many fights not carried on the more highly recommended sportsbooks. I was hoping that there would be something better, but I see not. Thank you for the info.

That isn't true. Bookmaker/DSI actually open a lot of fights for the US market. Their limits are often the highest too. Sportsbook.com isn't an option because their lines suck and it takes a month to receive a payout. As far as the US is concerned, it's basically 5dimes or bust for all things boxing. MMA? 5dimes and Bookmaker/DSI.

Not sure why this is important for you to be true, but it's not. Most weeks DSI has 4-7 Boxing matches available, Sportsbook has 12-20. This is easily verifiable.

I've been betting boxing/MMA for five weeks now. Sportsbook.com consistently has more lines than Bookmaker or 5Dimes. That's why I use Sportsbook. I bet on a lot of less well known fighters. I often can find them only on Sportsbook.com.

Sportsbook.com is an option because sometimes it is the only option. But it's my option, not yours, walktheline. If you make money on what you do, fine. And if I make money on what I do, fine. It's not a pissing contest. I'm looking for places to bet on Pacific region fighters.

If you need to get more money down, Bassenco. Bovada copies sportsbooks boxing lines after they have settled. Usually opens Friday night fights and major saturday fights on friday, and then opens the smaller saturday fights on saturday morning.

Once again, terrible advice to give. Sportsbook.com takes forever to payout and their lines are crap. It doesn't matter if they offer 10,000 fights. Bovada? Even worse.

If you want to be even semi-serious about betting boxing for large sums of money, get more than one 5dimes account, Bookmaker/DSI. It's really that simple. I'm not just talking shit here, it's the truth. Anyone that knows what they're talking about will tell you the same thing. I bet on boxing far above a recreational level, this isn't opinion it's fact.

Cool! Good to know. Thank you. I see that walktheline is getting shrill, so I think it's wisest to ignore him. I'm going to go check out Bovada. Have a good night.

BTW, I see that Bovada is already listing Kessler vs Magee (not yet on Sportsbook). I had assumed that their fight would be a lot less certain (smaller odds - not sure how to say it). But their odds show Kessler as the runaway favorite.
