Boxing will never go away while MMA students and fighters want to improve hand techniques. Same with Muay thai, wrestling, and fencing for controlling distance. There is always something to learn.
As for corruption, sharpies look at who is promoted by whom, and adjust their bets accordingly. Organized business interests run every sport, even though fighting is more prone to it than many sports.

Honestly, i watched boxing when i was much younger. Back then heavyweight division was stacked so boxing was much for prevalent. I picked up on mma about 04 and i started to appreciate boxing a lot more from my love of mma. I won't disagree that boxing is by far the most crooked sport out there, but aspects of it you can't help but love. Guerrero v. Berto last weekend, now that was an absolute masterpiece. I'd put that fight up against any mma fight I've seen all year.

yeah i have tota respect for the boxers and their skills, training ect....but like you said..its the most crooked sport out there...It is the only sport getting less interesting with time....such politics even getting a good fight set up...has more drama that a soap opera...
