I am just sending it from coinbase to my wallet on my computer. have done this plenty of times with no issue. Now I got a message saying it is delayed 72 hours to make sure it's me? Anyone had this issue before? Wanted to get it in my wallet today so I can deposit it in a sportsbook for the games this weekend.

Never, but I haven’t used CB much in the last three years. So your funds cleared and you sent BTC from CB to your own wallet and they delayed it 3 days? Once my funds cleared I was always out in minutes. That totally defeats the purpose of bitcoin. It’s slow enough already but three days to confirm your identity? Do you have 2FA enabled? So I have 2 factor and email confirmation etc enabled it was weird been buying from there same method over a year but I ended up just resubmitting drivers license photo and it asked me to take a selfie I guess they have facial recognition but once I did that it only took a few minutes for the transfer to go through and hit my computer walletComment -
Are you sure the funds shown on your portfolio are available for withdrawals? When I purchase BTC via coinbase it shows up immediately on my portfolio but it isn’t always cleared for sending or withdrawal right away.Comment -

It was weird, they thought I was someone hacking my account I guess but i always login from same computer. Either way I just had to take another pic of my drivers license and take the selfie and it went through within like 5 minutes, didnt have to end up waiting the 72 hrsComment -
Happened with me too, but this happen normally if you are withdrawing in new btc address and big amount from your CB account. So it's safeguarding from CB for you if you are using new btc address.Comment
