Best Bitcoin Wallet and Exchange. Recommendations?

I've been doing a bunch of research and there seems to be a ton of options out there.
What's a good, secure wallet you guys are using for a desktop and/or laptop or smartphone version?

What about the best Exchange? I keep hearing nightmares about Coinbase, blockchain, ie... length of time to complete transactions, possible security hacks, coin balances not showing up for days, customer service, exorbitant fees..etc...

What are you guys using and do you think it's fairly reliable?

Not gonna invest a ton of money into it, but would like to get into the game.

Just like Optional said... Gemini would be a great exchange to use. I prefer it as well. You could also use it as a wallet because it has 2 Factor Authentication and easy to use once you learn it. They are based out of New York. Your USD is FDIC insured as well. If that matters to you?

So far... there really isn't any restrictions on my account. People have said... using Coinbase... sometimes they add restrictions... or block your acct at times. Been with Gemini for about a year now... and they never cheat you on the purchase of a bitcoin or sell of one.

I also use Electrum as an additional wallet.
