    Bitcoin Wallet
    Total Noob here,

I got signed up at Blockchain for a bitcoin wallet, but I am reading that I am going to get killed by fees and potential wait times for moving my BTC to a sportsbook or to an exchange.

I have seen electrum suggested but that is a desktop based wallet?

Also, read that Bitgo is a solid one to use as a web-based on. Is Blockchain also a web-based one?

    Am I missing anything?

    Thanks

Guess I should add I am Canadian. Going to use quadrigacx for an exchange.

Just curious what you guys recommend for a wallet?

Most people start off using blockchain.info/wallet

I use the electrum.org desktop wallet and find it simpler than dealing with all the login security with a web based one.

Fees aren't that bad today. Around $10 per transfer and wait times not terrible either.

You sound like you have the idea right.

One more question, when setting up the security on Blockchain?

          Blocking Tor Requests?

I have that activated as I dont use TOR (dark web)

But I dont think it matters much these days. Was added to address a problem that existed a while back and I think the problem probably does not exist anymore.
