    Coinbase Problems
I just got this email message from coinbase and was hoping someone could give me insight on how to answer.

As a regulated financial institution we have the responsibility of understanding how our customers are using our service. As part of our compliance program, we are required to periodically review our user’s accounts. We therefore request your assistance in helping us complete this required review by providing the following information at your earliest convenience:

Describe the originating source of your incoming bitcoin transfers.
Describe the nature of your outgoing digital currency transfers and what service(s) they may be related to (if any). Please be as specific as possible.

    Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Coinbase. Our primary goal is to make digital currency safe and secure for our customers. Coinbase is a regulated Money Services Business under FinCEN (FinCEN.gov), and as part of achieving this goal, we are legally obligated to implement regulatory compliance mechanisms.
Upon careful review, we believe your account has engaged in prohibited use in violation of our Terms of Service and we regret to inform you that we can no longer provide you with access to our service. We respectfully request that you follow the on-screen instructions presented when you log into your Coinbase account to send any remaining balance offsite to an external address.
Should you have any questions or need assistance, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Remembering they can see the path of funds and have probably detected a transfer to a wallet they have connected to a book, you need to keep it plausible. Like I try to use bitcoin wherever I can to support it. I buy and sell baseball cards (no receipts/invoices) and get paid with it for social media marketing (impossible to know who/what did what marketing) and if you ever send it to a trading exchange, mention that you try to trade it as well. Or something along those lines.

And dont worry, they will just close your account and let you cash out if they dont like the answer. See answer below for where to go then.

Gemini.com and ItBit.com are the two other Coinbase like exchange services with ACH transfers for US users. Pretty sure both are approved in NY.

Is that what you are looking for?

itbit way to go, i was informed on this forum. Coinbase is a useless headache, get out while you can, pull your funds, tell them to close your account.
