Which is my point, there is no rival to keep them honest. The heartbeat of espn is sportscenter which in turn produces the spinoff shows. We have no choice but to listen to espn's narrative. Nbc sports and fs1 are super incompetent for not exploiting that. Both of the afformentioned networks have deep pockets and could easily bid on live sport contracts espn currently has a stranglehold on.
