The Miami Gardens Police Department confirmed Wednesday that it is investigating the shooting of Rams receiver Stedman Bailey.
Bailey and Antwan Reeves were shot around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at a Miami Gardens residence, according to a police statement received by Sporting News. There were three additional passengers in the vehicle, including two minors. Another vehicle pulled up and opened fire on Bailey and the others. The shooter has not been identified.
The victims drove themselves to a local hospital.
Police are looking for a light-colored, four-door sedan, possibly a Buick Regal.
Bailey, reportedly shot twice in the head, sustained non-life threatening injuries. He is in critical but stable condition and is awaiting surgery. Reeves underwent surgery Tuesday night. The Rams released this statement Tuesday night:
“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more
