    my plays new rules

with the lengthy slump I've been going through figured I'd start
a new thread..going to limit the types of races I play to the ones I feel are my strengths

types of races I won't be playing..

    allowance.. except state bred
    starter allowance
    allowance/optional claiming
open claiming.. only conditioned, statebred and maiden
stakes for older horses... only exception breeders cup day

hopefully things will improve with these restrictions.. time will tell

Yeah, you have been cold lately. Maybe these changes will make a difference. Interested if you incorporate pace ratings in your capping? I usually rely on Brisnet and Timeform for my PP'S and they both have pace numbers. GL.

no pace ratings but I do try to figure how the race might set up.. feel that's enough for me

Good luck, those classes of races are ones I ignore too a lot, especially the allowance/optional claimers.

like the maneuvering around they do in the conditional claimers
running a horse for 8k open as a tightener than he's eligible for 16kn1y at some point.. stuff like that.. the open 8k usually tougher race

nice pedigree, trainer stats and solid work pattern.. he'll probably offer value with all the mega expensive debuters going in here

    keeneland

    R3 #2 attraction (6-1)

like the way he ran in debut sprint to set him up for route today.. works prior and post are excellent.. nice claiborne pedigree

    R5 #12 clear the mine (12-1)

similar to last pick like the debut race as one to stretch out off.. also displays solid works prior and post.. bred to run all day top and bottom

    R6 #2 stars of the nile (15-1)

her efforts on the turf far from bad and hasn't had the best posts to work with.. trainer has popped some big ones on the green

    R9 #8 lookout sister (6-1)

think she'll stretch well with giant's causeway being her pop.. gritty win in restricted stakes last out

    R10 #8 execute (9-2)

spotted well for this.. gets off the rail

    R5 #6 overseer (4-1)

he hit some nice numbers on the lawn as a 2yo and I'll excuse
the 12 post effort last out

    R6 #2 asterisk (8-1)

I'll be a little forgiving of the first out wide trip in his recent debut at KD..trainer big roi's in many applicable categories here
..big time bloodlines and could see a nice improvement here

I know the trainer's bad but 15-1 in this field is ridiculous

    R11 #8 swagger jagger (12-1)

slow break from wide post on sloppy track last race.. nothing wrong with previous two..cost a lot factoring in 2k stallion fee
..bullet 5f breeze 6 days ago and doesn't hurt that maker is the trainer

    R7 #10 delicate lady (10-1)

really like last as a race to stretch out off.. way horse won on synthetic at AP in debut makes me think turf might not be a problem. shot to get a decent price on her in this field.. distance shouldn't be an issue with her pedigree

    R8 #6 my majestic flight (12-1)

he ran just the type of primer I like for a firster.. lots of long works prior and a 7f breeze 11 days ago.. two turns shouldn't be a problem with the bloodlines and low profile connections will insure a price.. outside of the horse who finished ahead of him last race (probable favorite today #4) think he has a real shot to make it in the money

Good call. Almost used the #6 in a contest which would have be for $300. MikeMca also mentioned him, but I forgot to check both of your threads. That is 2 recent long shot scores at Keeneland for you, so keep up the good work.
