Default Bernard Tomic currently in police stand off - locked himself in house lol

TEEN tennis ace Bernard Tomic is in a tense stand-off with police at his Gold Coast home after they tried to pull him over for alleged traffic offences in his orange BMW sports car.

The Wimbledon quarter-finalist and P-plater, who has a special licence allowing him to drive the high-powered car, has claimed he is the victim of police harassment after being pulled over several times while driving the distinctive vehicle.

He was pulled over by police at Broadbeach earlier today with girlfriend Donay Meijer in the passenger seat.

Tomic came to police attention again earlier this afternoon and he was followed home from Surfers Paradise by a siren-blaring patrol car after allegedly refusing a direction to pull over.

Police have just reported Tomic has locked himself inside his house with his family and is refusing to come out, and the traffic branch is on the way.

They have been accused of 'un-Australian' actions by Tomic's father John, who had an angry confrontation with officers in his driveway.

Tomic was already under investigation for allegedly breaching conditions of his licence allowing him to drive the BMW only to and from training.

Bizarre. Police give a license to a teenager for a high powered BMW because he is a tennis star? This is like Elvis getting a DEA drug enforcement badge from Nixon, Elvis was pulling aside planes and flashing his badge while he was high on prescription drugs from Dr. Nick.

that was my thought

even the article quoted him as saying he wanted to spend australia day hanging out with mates..kind of contradicts the special exemption to train
