Default BetDSI $23,000 [Resolved]

Sorry to report that BetDSI is still a scam site. They stole $23,000 from me in November. I'm not exaggerating. Read on for full details and be careful out there.

In October of 2019, I deposited $1k on BetDSI and got a $1500 bonus through their BTC150 code. I went broke. I then redeposited ~$8200 on November 1st and got a 30% bonus for $2500. I believe it had a 10x rollover. At the time I deposited, you weren't allowed to run your bonus money over $25,000. That was in the terms and conditions on the site.

I got super lucky on some bets over the next couple of weeks and ran my bonus money up to a little over $23,000. At that time, I confirmed with customer service via chat that anything over $25,000 would be forfeited, so I stopped betting my bonus money and kept betting cash to clear the rollover.

I ran my cash to a little over $30,000 and finished the rollover around November 20th (having bet over $100,000 this round, and probably over $150,000 if you include my first bonus). I tried to convert my $23,000 to cash and was told that the terms and conditions had changed and I could only convert $10,000 and the rest would be forfeited. I looked at the terms and conditions, and a few days earlier, they had added an update that applied to accounts that were already open and had already deposited under different terms. This change occurred before I spoke to customer service and they told me $25k was the cap, so even their own people apparently didn't know about it. At the time they made this change, my bonus account was already at almost $23,000, so they were basically just stealing $13,000 from me by making this change.

I sent an email and pointed out how unfair this was. In response, they sent my concerns to management, who then sent me an email saying that I was a sharp player (which I am not) and they were taking the entire $23,000 in my bonus account (even though I had already cleared the rollover requirement) and there was nothing I could do about it.

I broke no rules on their site, which is clear since they allowed me to withdraw my remaining $30,000 over the next couple of months (I would have posted about this and filed a complaint earlier, but I wanted all of my money off their site before I did, since I was afraid they would steal more). I wasn't chasing steam or arbitraging or doing anything that could be considered even a little bit shady. I wasn't betting props or weird Euro handball leagues. I was just betting regular stuff in super deep markets like the MLB playoffs and the NBA and NFL/NCAA football.

Also, it's complete bullshit that they think I'm a sharp bettor because up until the moment I cleared their rollover requirement and tried to get my winnings, they were letting me bet basically anything I wanted on games. A week before they stole my money, I was betting $10,000 on NFL games and $3-4k on college football games without a problem. I could have bet $25,000 on an NFL game, probably more, and they wouldn't have blinked. They don't think I'm sharp. They just wanted to freeroll me. They let me bet like a maniac, and if they win, they keep it. But then if I win, they say I'm sharp and they steal my money.

Do not trust these guys with your money. The bonuses are so tempting, and that's what got me, but they will freeroll you and steal from you and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

I hope this helps someone not make the same mistake I did.

I filled out the complaint form this morning a bit before I posted. I appreciate everything you guys do in these cases. You're class acts.

Remember that they didn't just steal my additional bonus money above the $10k; they took everything in my bonus account after I had cleared my rollover. This was a straight heist. I'm interested in hearing how their managers justify it when I was firing thousands of dollars days earlier.

I dont understand what you are saying here.

It sounds like you are now saying that they cancelled your entire bonus?

Some accurate numbers would be helpful if you have claims to make. How much bonus balance did you have, how much did they transfer, exact dates things occurred etc.

I apologize. I thought I was clear about this in my original post.

I deposited $8200 and got a $2500 bonus on November 2, 2019. I began to bet all of that money. On November 21st, I had completed my rollover for the bonus, which was approximately $100,000 in wagering. Probably closer to $120,000. At the time I finished the rollover, I had approximately $31,000 in my cash balance and $23,400 in my bonus balance.

The way DSI works is that after you have finished the rollover, you have to ask them to manually transfer your bonus balance into your cash balance, and then you can cash all of your money out. That's what I did. I asked customer service to transfer the $23,400 from my bonus balance into my cash balance because my rollover was done.

At that point, they told me that they had changed their bonus policy on November 7th, and that I could only transfer $10,000 to my cash balance. You can still see this reflected on their website here, if you click the drop-down menu for Cash Bonus Rollover Conditions: https://www.betdsi.eu/betting-rules/house-rules/. The previous rule said that the maximum cash out for a bonus was $25,000. On November 7th, they added a bunch of language limiting it to $10,000 for accounts that were opened after August 1, 2019, which mine was. At the time I deposited, on November 2nd, the rule was that I could cash out up to $25k. They modified this rule after I had deposited and started betting, and they sent no notice except in this obscure part of their website.

After customer service told me I could only cash out $10,000 of my $23,400 bonus, I complained over the phone and then sent a long email telling them that it was unfair and they bait-and-switched me, in addition to freerolling me since I already had over $10,000 in my bonus balance when they made the change.

Their response to my email complaining about this bonus policy was to forfeit my entire $23,400 bonus balance. They didn't even give me $10,000. They took it all, just wiping it out from my account. They left my $31,000 cash balance, which I was later able to withdraw. Their justification for taking my entire bonus balance was that I was a "sharp player" and their bonuses are only for recreational players.

I know this is a bullshit justification because they never bet-limited me or did anything to suggest that they thought I was a sharp player. I was also betting major sports, no in-play stuff, and I'm sure it was obvious to them that I'm not sharp. It was only after I had won all of this money, completed the rollover, and wanted to collect that money that they made up this crap about me being sharp and stealing my money. It was a 100% freeroll on their part.

I hope that clarifies everything.

Yes, perfectly.

It sounds like you should have 23K with a 1x rollover placed in your cash balance account from that info.

Hopefully our management contact in there agrees.

It would be a bulls**t justification even if they had limited you, Imo.

Hope you get this resolved.

From my experience, DSI treats bets made in the cash account and bonus acount differently, and meeting the rollover in the cash account doesn't affect meeting the rollover in their bonus account. It's confusing as hell, and why I would steer clear of their bonuses. But I wonder if that's what happened in this situation?

I understand your instinct to think this was a mistake or misunderstanding, but it wasn’t. There was no question that my rollover was cleared. They acknowledged that.

They stole my $23k because they felt like stealing it and they assumed that there would be no consequences for them for it. I’m hoping escalating this with SBR creates some negative consequences, or motivates them to do the right thing.
