I would be more apt to believe this point of view, that sports books are only trying to prevent fraud, if they required ID and did their due diligence in the same fashion as banks and other businesses. That is, if they required your ID when the account is first opened.

But instead these books "prevent fraud" as follows:

- Players are allowed to open accounts without ever showing ID
- Players are then allowed to deposit money without ever showing ID
- Players may then wager without ever having shown ID
- Players may then lose their wagers to the book without ever showing ID
- Players may be awarded free plays and other comps and use them without ever having shown ID
- Players may then re-deposit without ever having shown ID
- Players may win (for a while anyway) without showing ID
- Player attempts to withdraw money from the book. WHOA! ID REQUIRED! POSSIBLE FRAUD GOING ON HERE!!!

Doesn't that look fishy?

This pattern will always appear to be SLOW PAY tactics to players. Or an attempt to cheat the player.

Fender, bet365 does not use these cheap tactics. I won 66k back in 2010 during the world cup, and I got my money in a week. Yes they asked for ID as it was a huge win, but not no notarized nonsense. That's why ive always played with bet365. I would never trust this titanbet company from what ive heard others saying about it. Its hard enough to win, but when you do win, you want them to SHOW YOU THE MONEY!

MDSMITH, Fender probably works for Titanbet. Obviously it would be in Titanbet's best interest to have people post good things about their site. Like I said, I was going to make a deposit with Titanbet, and then I heard the nonsense about having to send notarized documents lol are they freaking kidding me. It boggles my mind why people would deposit with these useless, crooked bookmakers when there are really good ones like Bet365, Betfair etc out there. I'm in Canada and Bet365 is pretty popular here too.

Requested a withdrawal of £5025 from them on Saturday 29th via Skrill. Sent them all the documents they requested the same day and was told my account is fully verified. Only, they still haven't processed the withdrawal. Spoke to them numerous times since then on the phone and on live chat, and they've told me that the withdrawal is undergoing extra review by an external company before they can process it, only they won't give me any information on how long this will take or exactly what is being reviewed. Surely I have a right to know what's going on?

OK...an update. As I am totally fed up with Titanbet and their ridiculous ID verification
procedures and desiring of a quick end to the matter I asked them that only my initial deposit be
returned, forgoing the rest of the funds in my account as they were won using the introductory
bonus...ie "their money" and I thought doing this might lead to a swift resolution to something
that has been dragging on for nearly two weeks. That is what I thought...how wrong I was!
They are only still demanding the full set of ID...which has changed countless times in these
past two weeks...even to be able to withdraw my initial deposit, none of the winnings from the
bonus. Titanbet are undoubtedly the very worst sportsbook I have ever dealt with. Next thing I
guess is to try the SBR complaint procedure, not that I have a great deal of confidence in that
either judging by some of the replies made to other people. But I will give it a go and find out if
they really are on the side of the punter.

You do realise that people who are happy, dont generally post about it on the net?

Get over it

If you had been in the game a little longer than you have been, you would know that I have been a full time player since 2006.

just for your information ive been asked for notarized docs three times and a picture of myself holding id also 3 times. the primary objective of this to prevent crimnals laundering money. titanbet have allways been excellent to me. i even been made vip now, plenty of reload offers and free bets and price boosts. another withdrawal over the weekend in 48hrs. to think theyve got some sort of personal vendetta out against you is playground stuff. they want your betting dollar but not until you prove who you are.

Clearly they must have been the victim of a load of fraudulent accounts - I opened an account with these last year and never had any issues in regards to ID. Admittedly I don't use the account that often but they occasionally have decent promos.
Maybe it is stalling tactics - they did run some very good promotions at Xmas / new year, and they also placed a limit on the odds at which you can use any free bets. They may well have got stung and lost a lot with these promotions and are stalling large payouts in the hope that you cancel the withdrawal and play it through

Yes you may be right. They may want your betting dollar, but when you win they don't want to pay you. Asking for notorized documents to complete a $60 withdrawal is completely absurd. I understand if it was a high five or six figure withdrawal then that's different. Typically, the first sign of a Sportsbook in financial trouble is when they make excuses to pay winning customers. I have no sympathy for sportsbooks who use stall tactics to slow pay customers. It gives the entire online sportsbetting industry a bad name.
