5dimes promotion question

Default 5dimes promotion question

5dimes is running a promotion where they will comp your 8th deposit if you lose all money from deposits 1-7 from November 4th to December 31st. I've deposited 8 times and lost all the money. I am a terrible gambler, have bet with 5d for 3 years, deposit regularly and have never collected.

I thought this made me important to 5d as a customer and was quickly put in my place.

I have a prop bet on the Super Bowl from August, well before this promotion was announced that is still a pending wager. As a result of this, 5d refuses to honor their promotion saying I have funds in my account. I even asked them to grade the wager as a loss which they refused. So because I made a prop bet months ago, I miss out.

Does this seem fair? It's their book, they can do what they want and I'm free to bet elsewhere if I don't like it, I just really thought their customer service would be kinder to a fairly long time client who has done nothing but give them 30-40k per year. (drop in the bucket compared to their other clients I'm sure)

It isn't fair but they did the same exact thing to me over some baseball futures. Mine was for the mad money bonus and they had no problem crediting it for a while then a new rep came along, read the rules of the promo, and denied me the bonus. I was pissed but there was nothing I could really do. Rules are rules , even if they don't make sense. Like your futures my bets were already losers but they wouldn't budge. This occurred this year and I've been playing there since 2005.

In order to get the Mad Money bonus the rules stated you couldnt have any pending wagers but I cant find it for the 8th & 9th deposits free. Is it there and I am missing it? It just says you had to make 7 deposits during the time frame and lost it all.

Guess I'm in the minority here but I think 5dimes is 100% correct here. If pending wagers don't count as "money in the account" then what is stopping someone from making all the deposits and instantly placing it on futures wagers? They would have all those bets pending and STILL get the free deposit. I get the OP is a losing bettor and a profitable one for 5dimes, but if they don't handle it this way then they set themselves up to people taking advantage of the promotion.

I think that you should talk to someone from upper management there and then if they can't help you then contact SBR. I am sure that 5dimes will help you out.

He made the futures play before the promotion started and it wasnt factored in to the 7 previous losing deposits. He might have a case because I don't see any where in the T&C's about pending wagers placed prior to the promotion and since it wasn't placed with those funds he SHOULD get the 8th & 9th deposits free.

The Mad Money bonus has this term which is why they denied my bonus.

Account balance and bonus play balance must be at zero before an account can be eligible again for a Bonus Casino Reward.

I do not see this term listed for the 8th and 9th deposit free.

Seems a bit of a tough stance to take to not allow you to give up the prop as a loss. But the CS staff there do seem to be trained to say no to any request by default.

I'd write an email to Tony, or ask for him on live chat, and ask if he would make an exception for you. Seems like the sort of promo I'd love to be paying out as often as possible if I was him. Definitely would not want it making you go elsewhere.

Don't be shocked if he backs up the rep though. And don't hold your breath waiting to be told your a valuable customer either. ;-)

Thanks everyone for the responses. I am very new to dealing with sort of situation, I typically just deposit, bet, and lose.

I'll reach out to Tony and see if there's anything he's willing to do for me. Nowhere in their terms does it say anything about prior pending wagers or even actually anything about the account being at $0. I thought I just had to lose 7 consecutive deposits to be eligible.

I love 5Dimes and probably will stick with them, maybe put money into a second account and just do less business with 5D. I'm a huge MMA nut and they have lines on MMA that most books don't. (AXS TV fights, RFA, Legacy, etc)

If you do chat directly with Tony keep in mind he starts off VERY headstrong but after he barks for a while, present your case and see what he is willing to do. He is very reasonable in my book. Every time I've brought issues to the table we have come to an amicable solution. As long as you kept your cool with his support staff beforehand and can weather his initial storm I'm sure you will leave with your 8th deposit free. This sounds like a new CSR confusing the promotions, or an old one confusing a new promotion.

Dont argue the terms. Just ask for the help.

You havent lost all the deposits yet... remember that as you ask.

half the reps on the site don't know what the heck they are doing. Especially, with cash back bonuses. If you have any pending future bets most reps are retarded and will say you aren't eligible for the cashback on your last deposit. I laugh when they tell me this and ask them then how come 2 weeks ago I was awarded cashback for my previous deposit? Can you get someone that knows what they're doing to do this for me? If you ask late at night they are especially bad. Pending future plays lead to tons of confusion over there. In my opinion you are 100% eligible for this promo. If i had a future bet pending and lost 7 straight deposits during that time period I would be furious if they pulled this crap on me. I wouldn't stand for it and pretty sure id get them to reverse their stance. I didn't see anything in the writing about old pending future plays
