Default is the rest of the world demoralized

When europe feared invasion from russia -- the united states was there to save the day.

The american military was there to protect the interests of australians, europeans and asians. America protected people in countries around the world most people couldn't find on a map.

Over time military forces of europe and asia decreased defense spending. They cut the size and strength of their military under the assumption they would always have big daddy USA to protect them.

Until one day when big daddy USA abandoned afghanistan and showed the entire world they could no longer be relied upon to defend anyone.

Much of the world scaled back to skeleton crewed, poorly equipped, militaries who might not have a prayer of holding back a chinese-russian invasion.

Who do they turn to if they can no longer rely on americans to defend them and their interests. How did they get duped into thinking they could rely on foreigners to defend their own sovereign interests.

How do people see this playing out over the long term?

It's a human rights disaster

Woman are literally being gunned down in front of journalists for not wearing burkas

Children are being beaten for wearing shorts and going to school

The world is demoralized because Joe Biden has the worst human rights and humanitarian disaster of the 21st century on his hands.

He has the blood of women and children on his hands.

Bidens America is no longer the future, the beacon...it is the past, his image and legacy is that of a candle that burnt out.

A ship that is sinking, while the captain sleeps...literally while on vacation.

Nero has nothing on the incompetence of Joe Biden & Kamela Harris.

He is finished and really should resign...it's the only honorable thing to do.

The way it is going to turn out is that the US is running out of countries to F up. Thye F'd up Eastern Europe. They F'd up Latin America. They F'd up Haiti. Nobody wants to let them F up anymore. They cannot even get anything going in Venezuela or Cuba. They would rather be run by the guys that got than get screwed over by the US.

The US is going to now try to figure out how to keep from collapsing because they have screwed up so much that they are starting to fall apart and now electing abject morons as presidents. We will soon be electing exclusively celebrities.

"We shouldn't have been there in the first place" is about the stupidest answer ever to the question about what's going on in Afghanistan. If you want to argue the point about if we should have been there, fine, but the fact is that our country did go there and now we are letting those people hang out to dry.

You did not have to invade a country to get 8 guys holed up in a cave. You could have paid the Afghans to kill them. The whole thing was just a show and way to spend a lot of money and you got suckered. Now you are seeing everything that you supported coming apart and wishing it was different. It's just another in a long line of humiliations.

You're misunderstanding my point. We'll disagree about if the US should have invaded in the first place, and that's fine, but my point is that that has no bearing on what is going on now.

What do you think would be different? You think Trump was going to bring a lot of Afghans to the US? How long does the military need to prepare for a withdrawal? 10 years? Trump announced this way before the election. It is August. Nothing was going to be different. Biden is not calling the shots.

A couple of people fell off a plane and Afghans are getting sold out. Nothing really happening that should not be expected. Did you think the Taliban was not going to take over? You have not been paying attention. We have made zero progress against the Taliban in 20 years. We are fighting guys that were kids back then.
