So I just noticed late last night (on post 4999) that I was creeping up on 5k posts here. Evidently I've been on here for 3924 days, or 10 years, 8 months, and 29 days. I went in search of my very first post but SBR doesn't make this particularly easy to do, perhaps somebody knows a secret I don't. If so please quote it, I'd be super curious. I had a jumble of thoughts in my mind for posting this so it's a bit of a jumbled mess of a post. My apologies for this being a messy and all over the board post, but here she goes:

I was going to make a video about this but F it, It's not that important. Then I was going to post in PT, but F it, it's not that important.

Some interesting thoughts in the 10+ years I've been around this forum:

Posts per day: 1.27
JJ career changes: 17
Gifs made by Daggles: 437
Number of times I've reposted the gif of JJ yelling at Daggles: 618
Number of hours writing sports betting code: +/- 500
Massive women gifs posted by KVB: Unclear, a fukkin LOT
Survived Black Monday
Survived the poster wars of 1893
Survived so many trolls (and still surviving)

Seen a LOT of very dumb people come and go from here. I've also seen a handful of VERY smart people come and go from here. I think everyone knows who those people are. So pour one out for the sharps that didn't make it this far:

SBR has been a very weird place in the last 10 years, 8 months, and 29 days. So much has changed and yet so much has stayed the same. It's odd for me to think of where SBR might be in the next 10 years. I honestly didn't think it'd make it this far, but it has, and congrats on that. So cheers boys, keep up the good work. Some reminders as we boldly venture forth into the next 5000 posts:

o. A reminder that posting is still "serious bidness"
o. A reminder that Corbin Electric is still a front for Truck Stop Glory holes
o. A reminder to not feed the trolls
o. Sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle, but we are ALL working towards that goal of cashing tickets on a consistent basis

Largely my time here has been quite enjoyable. Sure, some of this is sports betting. In taking a higher level view a lot of this is the good people you meet along the way here at SBR. I've forged a lot of friendly relationships with many posters on here and it's honestly been an enjoyable experience to converse with others about different approaches to wagering, the various states of the industry, and all things sports betting. I've learned a LOT from the people here on SBR (Some of it good, a lot of it specifically what NOT to do, both are equally important). So for all those who are still on the trail with me, congrats and lets keep going. For those that didn't have the stamina to make it this far, I'm still pouring one out.

I don't need points, or nominations for this if you or anyone you know is considering it. Everyone on here knows I love to hear about the old timers at SBR, never miss a chance to do so. So instead what I would ask is that if you read this post (especially up to this point of my brain vomit, jumbled mess of shit of a post here) that you post at least one of these, if not several:

o. One of your favorite old school stories of a current poster (a good post, not looking to start a flame war in this thread)
o. One of your favorite stories from one of the sharps that didn't make it this far.
o. Some SBR anecdote that still makes you laugh, or cringe, or whatever.
o. Some piece of uncommon knowledge about SBR and/or a poster here (A good post, nothing derogatory unless in jest, not looking to start a flame war in this thread)

Thank you for everyone that has been on this sports betting journey with me. It's been largely an enjoyable trip, both due to cashing tickets and the hilariously stupid, incredibly smart, and usually super funny posters along the way. I truly wish all of you nothing but the best and honestly look forward to the next decade (BOTH on SBR and in this industry as a whole). I hope you cash all your tickets going forward and you get everything you want out of life from here on out.

Thanks,
Hubie69

Yeah, it's Corky vs. Header.
Loser leaves.

As much as I love carving up Cork Screw, it's time he rolled down the highway.

Yes, Corky leaves if LAC loses.

Odds on him leaving?
OTB

It's off the board because he has zero integrity and has never been true to his word.
Not once.

No book in their right mind would hang odds on that.
