Nah, that's revisionist history tinged with nostalgia bolstered by highlight clips.

The Rams game was pretty lame. Even the Stafford Rams SB was mediocre, the score was close, but play was marred by joke officiating per usual. The David Tyree game was absolute trash for the majority of it. You've just reduced it to two or three drives and called it good.

Obviously there's some good games sprinkled in if you comb through the entire history of the games, but most are underwhelming, and when you couple that with the sterile, corporate atmosphere and the dragged out festivities of pomp and circumstance, it's a fukking New Year's Day parade when all we really want is quality football.

I don't like them either. For too much media coverage and hype leading up, halftime shows suck, Taylor Swift sucks, commercials are trash mostly also, etc..

Playoffs much better.. Games are better in the playoffs and not in the toilet bowl typically.

Well most of the time, the actual game does suck, but there is always the potential for a great game. Its been a while since we have had a real defensive game in the superbowl. I think the last was the Giants and Patriots when the Patriots were undefeated. I would like a 10-7 game for once. The drama would be huge at the end, and maybe the shots of Taylor Swift in the stands would be minimized.

If K.C. wins, there is no way Travis proposes to the Swifter. That would be too disrespectful to his teammates, he might as well retire then too. Of course Taylor would just dump him and sing about it in her next album.

NE vs LA Rams 13-3 wasn't that long ago

Yeah and that was like watching paint dry. You can't tell me it's all great defense when the league's 2nd rated offense in both yards and points scores a flippin field goal a nothing else. There's some great defense mixed in with a whole lot of pitiful offense, and a lack of adjustments to boot.

Revisionist history? You're wrong. I watched both games and the offenses weren't bad, the defenses were simply that good. Most people can't appreciate good D the way they can high flying O.
