I saw the cliff notes. I've seen the last set for a lot of tennis matches but just not going to sit through 3/4 hours of an entire match. Even when I have money on it. Can't do it.

Tennis was MUCH MORE popular in the 80s. It has dropped off the map ever since. To give you an idea, Wimbledon will get around 2 million views for their mens finals (The woman are very close and have had more views of late). The Masters golf will get 9 million views. The World Series 14 million views. The Kentucky Derby will get 15 million views. NBA finals 17 million. College March Madness 18 million. Super Bowl 100 million views. A lot of tennis views are not from America.

I'm not trying to bag on tennis. It's a great sport. I belong to a tennis club. My niece was once the #1 ranked player under 16. But it isn't watched much, especially the men. The Tennis Club once had dozens of courts of all surfaces. They got rid of all the clay courts and cut down the rest at least by half, maybe more. They put in a lazy river and other stuff instead.

Everyone likes different things whether they are "popular" or not.

Live and let live.

So, he's also shown that he's an irresponsible prick.

He didn't follow the rules. He could have gotten a medical exemption but he didn't file by the deadline. You are blaming Australia when you should be blaming the dumb ass that thought he was above the law.
He got an exemption, he thought he was following the rules. Again he's healthy with natural immunity, he's no highher risk than anyone else. This was all politics.

Morino - he did not follow the rules. He knew he wasn't following the rules. Him and TA were all dishonest and scummy, thinking they could bend the rules to get him in. That exemption that you said he got? The deadline to apply for the exemption was December 10th. He tried to use the excuse that he already had Covid as the basis for the exemption BUT he didn't get Covid (which is a damn lie) until December 16th. What a dumb ass.

Dec. 10, 2021: The deadline to apply for a vaccine exemption to the Australian Open, in January 2022, comes and goes. Djokovic has been coy about his vaccination status throughout the fall, but sources tell Sports Illustrated that he hasn’t gotten the jab.
Dec. 16, 2021: Djokovic tests positive for COVID-19 for, at least, the second time, according to documents his lawyer will later share in court. He uses this as grounds to apply for an Australian Open medical exemption from the vaccine.

He got an exemption and made an honest and minor mistake. Again, he thought he thought he was following the rules.

Morino read what I posted. The exemption should have been invalid because he applied before the deadline... Him and Tennis Australia thought they could game the system.

BUT here is the fact that you are missing. Just because the Victoria state government gave him a medical exemption to play in the tournament that DID NOT GUARANTEE that he would be allowed into the country.

Some of the confusion is reportedly due to Tennis Australia, which runs the Australian Open. Tennis Australia reportedly gave incorrect information to players and staff regarding acceptable exemptions, according to the Associated Press. That could explain why Djokovic believed his exemption for his previous COVID-19 diagnosis would apply at the Australian border.

Him and TA were both cheaters. Novax knew the rules. Why did EVERYONE else get in? Because they followed the rules and he did not. He tried to play everyone. He's playing you and his supporters. You think he's perfectly innocent, a victim. When the real truth is that all he did was tell lies. The biggest lie was that he had Covid on Dec 16th. Don't fall for his lies. He's not a victim.

Yeah it's pretty dumb. He doesn't have covid so him not being allowed to play tennis makes 0 sense. Also when you are vaccinated you still get covid. If vaccinated people get covid from someone unvaccinated it's not worse than if vaccinated spread covid. Also they keep making bosters. The whole thing is stupid.
