Let me help you out. When you turn the ball over more than the other team your chances of winning start at about 25% and drop with every turnover, those yards don’t mean shit., he will never be a winner., I can understand wanting him if cousins your qb tho.

Bruce Arians says Buccaneers can win with QB other than Jameis Winston

12/30/19

TAMPA, Fla. -- One day after Jameis Winston became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in a season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians said little to inspire confidence that Winston will be back next year.

When asked Monday if he believes the Bucs could win with another quarterback, Arians responded, "Another quarterback? Oh, yeah. If we can win with this one, we can definitely win with another one too. We're gonna have a defense."

Was just reading that story, gotta say the headline was a little misleading. Arians didn't say anything he hasn't said since he got here. Then again, it did draw my attention. Well done headline writer.

To be honest I'm glad that Arians got a reality check as to what we've been seeing & dealing with for years.

Arians might be a good coach, but he's not a miracle worker and most of us knew he had no clue when he said he could turn Winston around.

I think he knew exactly what he was getting into, he's been around football long enough plus he's known Winston since he was 14 yrs old. And what's he gonna say, "Jameis is a lost cause and I can't help him?" Maybe behind closed doors, but not publicly.

While qb play has been at the forefront, anybody that's followed this team (since its inception ) knows the Bucs have had a lot more issues than Winston. The direction on defense seems to finally be on the upswing, lot of youth and promise there. I'd like to see them focus exclusively on the offensive line, that's where teams are built. Trevor Lawrence is the only qb I'd spend a high draft pick on, and that ain't happening unless they change the rules.

Personally I'd love to see them make an offer to Taysom Hill, he'll be a restricted FA this spring. I think he'd be great in this offense, big arm, accurate, excellent runner when needed. May be the best athlete on the team. Pipe dream I know. New Orleans got some work to do, all three qbs pending free agents.
