Steve Stevens worked for a telemarketing firm that told old people that they had won the lottery but they had to pay a few hundred dollars first to get their winnings. He got locked up 3x for that. In the last episode of Money Talks, Paula mentioned that she was married to the man who Stevens had worked for at 19. This was the scam company that he got jailed for working for. So both Stevens and Paula are lifelong scammers.

Not really surprising is it. She's like a 46 year old who is living off her ex-husband's money and still dresses and acts like she's in her 20s!

To be fair, Stevo hasnt hidden his past, he mentioned it numerous times on the show

Yeah just one season. It was entertaining.

Steve and Skip do a podcast though, I haven’t listened to it in a minute but it was always entertaining despite each episode essentially being long commercials for VIP Sports

The Sports Betting World Says The Star Of CNBC's New Reality Show Is A Total Fraud

Steve Stevens, the star of an upcoming CNBC reality show called "Money Talks," is being called a fraud and an ex-convict by some of the most prominent people in the sports betting world today.

Stevens has a business where he sells sports betting picks called VIP Sports Las Vegas.

The CNBC press release for the show calls him "a well-known handicapper," and a promo video on his company's website claims he has a winning percentage of 71.5%. The show is a "docu-soap," and it's set to air Sept. 10.

Even worse, a damning report from WagerMinds lays out evidence alleging that his name is actually Darin Notaro, and he has been arrested multiple times for telemarketing fraud.

Todd Fuhrman, a former oddsmaker at Caesar's Palace, wrote in a blog post yesterday, "No one, and I mean no one, in the sports betting community I speak with daily knows who this guy is."

Bob Voulgaris, a popular sharp NBA bettor, said on Twitter last night that he'd never heard of Stevens either, calling him "a complete scam artist" for the 70% claim.

I remember watching this like 4-5 years ago, thinking it was hilarious.

The guy was always stressing money management, and then would have clients fly into Vegas, betting 40% of their BR on 1 game, lol

If I remember right, one of the sales guys said he liked the over because its the only game of the night, so you know there will alot of points. Granted, the main guy must be the worlds best salesmen, to convince CNBC to air this.....gotta give the guy his props.
