Default Wednesday.....

I still have not capped the MVC for Wednesday..... so I will keep you all posted. So far I'm leaning towards the following....

Oklahoma -12.5
Ok St -1.5
Baylor +3 REMOVING THIS PLAY
Georgia St +9.5
Wake -13
Florida -1.5 REMOVING THIS PLAY

Any thoughts?

I'm trying to find 1 game that really stands out.... so if you have a huge play let me know.

MY UPDATED PICKS ARE AT THEN END OF THIS THREAD!

Any advice on this one Husker36

Kansas State vs Baylor

Kansas State: Record 11-6, conference 0-3, home 10-1

Lost to conference Olklahama, Kansas, Nebraska, non-conference l: Kentucky, Iowa (11-7,1-4), Oregon who are 6-12, 0-6 in conference.

Beat teams such as Idaho St. 6-13,3-2; Chicago St. 10-9,2-0; Oakland 11-9,4-3; Cleveland St. 12-7, 4-4; Florida A&M 6-10,4-1.

Baylor: Record 14-3, conference 2-1, Away 3-2.

Lost to conference at Texas A&M 15-4,1-3; at Wake Forest 16-0,3-0; home to South Carolina by 1 point 12-4,1-2.

Beat Providence 12-6,4-2; Arizona St.15-3,4-2; Texas Tech 11-7,1-2; Olk St. 12-4,1-1.

Reasoning: Due to their respective strenght of schedule results and despite Kansas St's dominant home record I feel Baylor is the better team and the best bet to take is Baylor on the moneyline as an underdog.

Can you give us some advice on this one Husker/anyone? Is it you strongest play of the ncaa today? Any reasonning/thoughts you would like to add? Are my thoughts way off and should I no bet this game?

P.s. I am an aussie trying to cap ncaa so I would not take much notice of my leanings as I am still trying to familarise myself with the teams/ intangibles of the ncaa etc. However, I respect your betting philosophy/ thought proccesses after reading some of your leanings during the college football bowls and will appreciate any advice or input you can provide. Hopefully, you can help me pick some winners and I can reciprocate the favour with some winners during the aussie nrl, afl and cricket seasons.

cheers

In my opinion...... Kansas State is the play here. Yes, Baylor is the better team. But this is basketball.... the "better" team does not always win, especially on the road.

Kansas State, like most teams, is better at home. Manhattan is a tough place to play. (I've been there a few times.... the purple seats are enough to make you want to puke)

Kansas St is 0-3 in conference play. But they will win SOME games. They only lost to #6 OU by 8 at home.

This game is actually a no play for me.... but I would lean towards Kansas St.

If you are looking for a solid game look at Oklahoma.

Oklahoma at home beat Texas by 15, and they are one of the top 3 teams in the Big 12. Nebraska is horrible on the road..... losing to Arizona St by 20, lost by 12 at Iowa St and lost by 1 to a bad Oregon St team.

Add REVENGE (N beat OU 63-45 in Nebraska last year) as a factor and OU should roll.

Now the fun games. THE MVC! Has anyone figured out the MVC this year?

What's the story with Indiana State? Indiana State is one of the worst teams in the MVC..... yet they have 2 conference wins..... against the top 2 teams in MVC! I want to play S. Ill with the thinking that ANY TEAM that really needs to win will beat this ISt team.... but I'm going to pass here.

Illinois State -3 Illinois State looked like they were going to run away with the MVC until they had back to back losses (one was expected the other a shocker) This is really a "must win" game for Ill State...... like Creighton last night I think they roll.

Bradley +7 I think we were all on Bradley on Sunday...... in a game where they fell down 17-32 at the half and finally had a run at the end that came up short. Bradley was 3-15 from 3-pt. and 9-19 free throws.... it just wasnt their night. Now they play the 1st place team in the MVC. I actually think Bradley might win this one.

Drake PK Home teams have been doing well ........ but Drake completely dominated Mizz St earlier this year beating them by 18. Drake is the better team and if they want to make a run for 1st place it starts here.
