Both years I did $20 units. Still, making nearly $8,000 the last two years was very nice for a guy who doesn't bet ridiculous amounts.

This year I bumped it up to $40 units....

Final Regular Season Record: 296-287-9 +182 Units

So I've had some very nice success in the NBA playoffs here. I also had good threads in 2010 and 2011 for the playoffs but I can't find them. If someone finds them, feel free to post if you want. Nothing close to the last few years though but good records for sure.

Really been looking forward to these playoffs. I've been very selective with the NBA since the beginning of March. So this playoffs has been a long time coming. Got a few plays locked in. For these playoffs, I'm doing $50 per unit. Good luck everyone.

Raptors -2.5 -108 (4x) - I lean Nets in this series but I like the Raptors in Game 1. No one is picking them but they were one of the most impressive teams all season in the East. They were consistently a very solid team. Kyle Lowry has developed into a very good scoring point guard and Demar Derozan is now a legitimate scoring threat on the wing. Toronto will jump out to a 1-0 lead here.

Thunder -7 -109 (3x) - Oklahoma City has holes. They still rely a little too heavily on perimeter shooting but they simply out talent the Grizzlies. They will get some revenge on last year in this series.

Wizards +5 -107 (3x); ML +190 (.5x) - This is one series where my gut is telling me we have an upset. Everybody is picking Chicago because "Chicago always finds a way" or something along those lines. Everyone seems to think that the Bulls are a lock just because they play really tough defense but the fact of the matter is they aren't a great team. The Wiz can win this series. John Wall will make plays - be sure of that.

I'll be back tomorrow to discuss more.

This is probably the least confident I've been about OKC going into the playoffs the past three years.

Memphis could beat OKC but deep down I feel like OKC will get revenge. It will be a tough series and a grind but OKC probably wins in six.

The second round scares me. OKC matches up better with the Spurs than they do the Clippers.

In the East I still don't see anyone beating Miami.

Chalk city.

I think momentum is on griz side coming into this game..i would take 7 points but okc probably wins..i like wash pick..more talented team than bulls..if they play hard can give trouble anyone..series probably going 6 or 7...hmm a lot of people like raptors first game..i kind of do too, but 2.5 and 3 points now can be big..i m sure bkn doesnt go home 0-2..gl guys..i feel like taking points with hawks..

Do you think OKC struggled down the stretch (I think they must have one of the worst records among West playoff teams post-ASB, could be wrong. All other West teams went on some kind of run though iirc) because they were really having trouble or because they're starting to grow bored of the regular season and feel they can turn it up in the playoffs a la Miami?

This team went about the regular season differently his season. They didn't go balls to the wall like they did what seemed like every game the last few years. There were some nights they didn't show up.

After it was apparent they wouldn't catch the Spurs for the #1 seed they didn't play with the same intensity.

Maybe this will help them.

I feel like Memphis will make it tough series but for some reason I feel like OKC wins game one easy Memphis is coming in trying for a split and I bet OKC will be pumped through the roof game 1.

OKC covers game one and Memphis covers game 2 I think.

Yeah I got the same impression. The OKC we knew in past years wouldn't have lost 3 games in a row at home and 5 of 6 overall... They were the best team in the league at always bouncing back and they didn't seem to have that energy at times this year.

I'm still not the biggest fan of the bench and feel that will cost them a game here and there, especially on the road.

At the end of the day they are still in a great position though. They have homecourt over the Clippers and own the Spurs, who are their 2 toughest presumed opponents. There's every chance we get an OKC/Miami rematch.
