I should have just stuck with stars but took Hawks too so about even only

Yeah agree. They are fade material only right now.
Any other teams you can think of that will be trying extra hard or resting players for playoffs now?
I meant in the last couple of reg season games actually.
That is one series I would have been thinking was too tough to pick by myself.
well disregard as of now STL would open vs Chicago as Anaheim passed them for #1 seed
Made some series points bets to kick off the finals.. and a couple of hopeful cup matchups

Kings and Chi big plays for me
Ok opti why Detroit
Bruins are expected to win the cup, they are not even thinking about going deep as being good enough. I'm fading them to be caught up in that expectation and not be able to properly focus against a low seed in the first round as well as they should be. Might be wrong of course, they are pros after all.
On the flip side Wings have zero expectations.
I've been liking the way the wings have gone in March/April. Their offense has really clicked and scored 3+ in 9 of their last 10 games. Their defense ranks well in pp kills and they have got their best goalie back in the rotation, along with a decent backup or two (i think?)
I know Bruins have oodles of great attackers, but they are missing 2 of their top D guys and rely on 1 key goal tender (I think their backup guy is a bit of a worry?).
It was really just a process of elimination looking at the big dogs and looking for any reason they might have some chance. And I saw the opposite weight of expectations, and Bruins weak end facing Wings strong end, and my gut said yeah go for it.
As far as the Cup matchup bet, I figured if they knock off Boston they won't be much worse than a coin flip to beat Bolts/Habs, then it's just the Pens to get over that looks tough. Avs and Kings are just the two West teams I'd like to see get there. No other reasoning
I like it Good luck
Kings / Wings works for me

Speaking of Bolts/Habs, whilst you are here do you think these stats make playing the Under blindly for the series is worthwhile?
only once in 4 matchups this season did either team score more than 1 in reg time.
Nov 12, 2013 Tampa Bay 2, Montreal 1 (SO)
Dec 28, 2013 Montreal 2, Tampa Bay 1 (SO)
Feb 1, 2014 Tampa Bay 2, Montreal 1 (OT)
Apr 1, 2014 Montreal 1, Tampa Bay 3
Only worry is Bishop hurt for tampa . Haven't heard if he is starting yet.
Speaking totals game 1 of Kings/ Sharks set at 4.5
How about my local Dallas team actually making the playoffs....
