The Dodgers are exercising "extreme caution" in their handling of Clayton Kershaw's back inflammation, Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown reports.
Brown said Kershaw fought the Dodgers on the decision to scratch him from Sunday's start and that the team is hopeful he'll be ready for the following series against the Giants. It sounds as though it's minor and the team is just ensuring the injury doesn't turn into something more serious.

Meh, those games were played on Saturday USA time. Teams will have had over a full week off before playing their stateside openers (Dodgers Sunday night, Snakes Monday) so I wouldn't worry too much about the travel.That trip may very well take a toll on the D-bags too.
