Good news for you Pirates fans....

A day after a report that stated they will put Andrew McCutchen on the disabled list, the Pittsburgh Pirates say the All-Star center fielder will remain on the active roster.


The team says McCutchen has been diagnosed with an "avulsion fracture involving the costochondral cartilage of the left 11th rib," and that it will continue to evaluate his progress.

Ouch! That hurts just reading it! Hopefully the injury isn't too serious and Cutch returns shortly...

He is going to be a power hitter more than a guy that hits for a high average.
