Clock management in College Football is terrible.

College and NFL are both horrible managing the clock, when to go for 2, etc. I don't understand why teams don't hire guys from the engineering school that can run simulations and give them game in advice. Saban seems to be the only guy in CFB that hires a shit load of people just to do analytics.

It was never that bad and it shouldn't be. You have a head coach and an assistant in the booth and one should know what to do.

Someone should make the decisions from home because anywhere at the stadium just distractions and they lose your train of thought a lot
Mentally weak individuals that lack focus

Memphis went for a fake FG with 2 minutes and change left in the game. They were up 3, should have kicked the FG, then bury UCLA with the kickoff. They lose the points and the ball, with only a FG needed to tie them. Luckily the Bruins chocked but it was obviously the wrong decision.
