He had a tiny value play on Edwards at +220 against a guy who has fought pretty much no one and has never won a fight that went past the first round. Easy to say that he was completely wrong after the fact.
Reason for this is because Brandon Thatch has worldclass standup striking ability, the reach / size differences between them made it look like a catchweight fight.
No there wasn't any 'value' on Edwards in that fight, odds of Vinny doing something retarded several more times against Perosh is alot higher then an experienced composed striker like Thatch having a brainfart against Edwards with all the plusses he had on his side in that matchup.

What you must understand is that in MD's world there is value in all dogs. It does not matter to him if the dog has a snow balls chance in hell of winning. He just closes his eyes & swings for the fences. If his dog loses then variance is always to blame.
