I'm all over mayday at -190, basically a better, younger, and more technical version of pickett IMO.
Mayday is pretty easy to take down, and he gasses pretty badly. Pickett's work rate is a huge concern. I 'capped Mayday at about where the line is. Maybe a bit lower.

I consider McDonald to be a far inferior version of Wineland, to be honest. He's worse in pretty much every area. The Wineland fight says a lot about how he'll do against Pickett.

Interesting perspective, appreciate the reply.

Picketts work rate is definitely my main concern. McDonald doesn't have world class takedown defense by any means, but from what I've seen he has a serviceable sprawl, and although he hasn't always been able to fully execute, his instincts when it comes to TDD are actually very sound from a wrestling perspective and I expect his overall TDD to improve from last fight. All in all I don't see Pickett's takedowns being enough to threaten too much, and mayday's defensive guard when hes fresh has actually impressed me a lot.

Cardio definitely is a worry, but I think he controls distance with his jab and lands counter right hands in the exchanges consistently enough to take this one. Pickett's tendency to plant his feet and trade directly in front of his opponent without cutting angles will be his undoing in this one IMO.

I'm on the Reem and McGregor with you though

This is a prime candidate for a judges robbery imo.

On paper Mcdonald should win the fight, in the same way Wineland did. Thing is Wineland solidly outstruck Pickett and still ended up with a close split decision. Granted judge was Mark Smith who is just straight up awful or consistently paid off or whatever, but Pickets aggression could definitely get him and undeserved decision, or sway judges in a close fight. I also expect Pickett to be able to get takedowns later in the fight, if not right off the bat. Mcdonald aint no Wineland takedown defense wise.

Mcdonald is 12 years younger and evolving at a rabbit pace though and is a very good fighter and like I said, should win on paper.

Would bet fight goes the distance or starts 3. round instead though.

I got a PM from SBR a few months ago saying that if I follow some Twitter account and let them know, they'd give me betpoints, but I can't post my Twitter where I give out free plays. Can't make this shit up.

Absolute hypocrisy at it's finest, I'd love to hear how Twitter supposedly makes money.
