Same-Game Parlay Predictions Blue Jays vs. Orioles

Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Bases (+105) ★★★

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. recorded two hits, two runs scored, and a home run with three RBIs over the weekend against the Boston Red Sox. His potential for further damage on Monday is significant while facing Orioles starter Dean Kremer.

Vladito is a career 5-for-13 with a double and three home runs against the right-hander. Though Guerrero Jr. has endured a down year in power production in 2022 compared to his breakout campaign in 2021, his numbers against Kremer are notable. In this matchup, Vlad supplies the power and Kremer supplies the baseball.

Be prepared for the remote possibility that Guerrero is out of the lineup while resting as the Blue Jays gear up for the postseason. It would be a shame, as the matchup fits right in his wheelhouse.

Kremer Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-148) ★★★★

Kremer has been a stabilizing force in Baltimore's rotation, but he hasn’t been much of a strikeout pitcher. The righty has fanned just 83 batters over 119 1/3 innings in 2022. He's short of quality due to a lack of innings, but Kremer’s 6.3 K/9 would rank third-lowest in MLB.

The hurler has fallen short of the 4.5-strikeout threshold in four of his past five starts, and he faces a Toronto lineup on Monday that doesn’t give away at-bats very easily. The Blue Jays are striking out an average of 7.64 times per game in 2022, the sixth-lowest team strikeout rate in MLB.

Kremer has faced the Blue Jays three times since mid-August, clearing this strikeout total only once.  He's struck out just three batters in each outing over two starts against Toronto since Sept. 7.

DraftKings doesn't permit pitcher strikeout Unders in same-game parlays, so we’re making this play at FanDuel on Monday.

Under 7.5 (-115) ★★★

On the surface, this pitching matchup between Jose Berrios and Dean Kremer screams for the Over. Berrios is more than susceptible to the blowup game, as he's allowed 11 earned runs over 7 1/3 innings across his past two starts. Meanwhile, Kremer is coming off of a September when he threw well (3.00 ERA) while keeping in line with his season numbers. But he faces a Blue Jays lineup that slugged 25 runs over the weekend against Boston.

However, both Berrios and Kremer have handled the opposing offense capably in 2022. Kremer has posted a 3.00 ERA over three starts against the Blue Jays, allowing six earned runs in 18 innings, with all of those outings coming since Aug. 16. And despite posting his worst overall ERA (5.37) since 2016, Berrios has produced a 3.32 ERA over 19 innings spanning three starts against Baltimore in 2022.

Berrios also gets the benefit of facing an Orioles lineup that's scored just nine runs combined across its past five games.

Though the Under (-115) comes with longer odds than the Over (-105) in this matchup, we get a massive odds boost for our parlay. FanDuel is practically daring us to bet this parlay given the inflated odds, but the details of the pitching matchup make for intriguing value.
