YouWin winnings seizure complaint update

The player opened his account with YouWin on December 26th, and deposited €1,420, wagering his entire balance on a soccer match between Arsenal and Chelsea. After Arsenal won the match, the player was credited with his winnings and his balance correctly updated to €3,838. YouWin to SBR:

I am writing to you to follow up with your previous conversation with (former manager).(former manager) is no longer with the company, therefore for the time being I shall take over this ongoing matter.

I've been informed that you have already spoken with (former manager) regarding this issue and that you understand that this player is currently under fraud investigation. It would be greatly appreciated if you could remove this article from your site until the investigation is complete as we are not at liberty to publicly discuss this at the moment.

YouWin is licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) of Malta. Previous troubled sportsbooks which had or still maintain a Malta license include Stryyke (SBR rating F), BetOnBet (SBR rating F), BalkanBet (SBR rating C-), BetAfterBet (SBR rating F). The LGA of Malta revoked the license of Stryyke on September 8th, 2009. Stryyke was the most recent no-pay sportsbook to be added to the SBR Blacklist.


Original YouWin statement to player who filed sportsbook complaint:

We have detected betting irregularities with your bet. After analyzing the betting activity and your account in general we have concluded that your bet have been placed in collaboration with the affiliate who referred you. We make reference to our Terms and Conditions and the following points:


After careful consideration we have decided to cancel your bets and refund the corresponding transactions. Your total amount of deposits is 1420 Euros. These have been returned to your moneybookers account. Furthermore we would like to inform you that your account with us has been permanently closed. This decision is final. We are taking prepations to defend our action with the Lotteries and Gaming Authorit (f Malta).
