YouWin sportsbook ID dispute

Share with:

A YouWin (SBR rating C-) player submits an account dispute. The player tells SBR that he has a balance of €711 that he is unable to withdraw. The player reports that YouWin is not accepting his scans nor his photograph of his ID, stating that the size of the ID file must be equal to or greater than 500KB. The player states his ID copy is legible.

YouWin player: "I registered an account with the scam called youwin.com and consequently was requested to provide ID and a proof of address which is normal. The problem came when they told me that the copy of the ID card wasn't good enough for them (it was a scanned one). However I provided them with a copy for the second time, this time I took a picture through an iPhone 4. Again I was told that they are not satisfied, and what followed was more than impudent. They told me something like that the copies have to be exactly 500 kb in order to be accepted. I found that outrageous so about 2 weeks ago I told them to close my account and payout my balance (711 EUR). They refused to do so, saying they have many payout requests right now due to EURO 2012. After that I was requested once more to provide them with a new copy of my ID card. Some minutes ago I did so and was told via their livechat (I think it was an automated response) that the copy does not meet their requirements (500 kb), as if I could manipulate the size of the file. And this third time the copy was really good and legible. What should I do in order to get my money?"

SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

YouWin.com is part of WinUnited Ltd., a Malta-based organisation that also powers Sportsbook.com Global. On September 28th, 2011, SBR reported that Sportsbook.com US redirected its entire non-US player base to the Malta-powered brand.
