WSEX Sportsbook update

Four new WSEX Sportsbook (SBR rating D-) complaints have been reported. In SBR's last WSEX Sportsbook update, WSEX provided a generic statement regarding payment delays. At the time of this report, WSEX was slow-paying 48 players $431,817.

The four new WSEX payment complaints highlight more of the same.

Player one requested a withdrawal of $800 in mid-January. The player tells SBR that each time he launches an inquiry with WSEX that the blame is pinned on processors. The player correctly suspects that financial problems are the real reason.

Player two asked to receive $2,336 on February 13th, the week after the Super Bowl. His check has still not been received. The same generic updates given to player number one are recycled to this player.

Player three has a balance of $8,714 that he has been attempting to withdraw since January 4th, 2011. The player is fed the same lines about payment processing, and has not been given a real update on the status of his funds.

Player four has had a $3,000 payout pending since February 11th, 2011, and a $2,500 payout pending since March 14th, 2011. Neither of the players requests have been processed.

A trend seen with WSEX payments is that the sportsbook selectively chooses whom to pay. While management conceded months ago that the size of each withdrawal determines its place in the payout queue, WSEX seems more keen on paying players that requested withdrawals recently in hopes to retain that player's business. WSEX' handling of the payout backlog as well as their lack of demonstrated financial resources have landed it on the SBR scam sportsbooks blacklist at the mark of D-.

WSEX is now slow-paying 52 players a total of $446,667.
