Tonybet Sportsbook changes bonus terms mid-rollover

A Tonybet Sportsbook player has filed a bonus complaint with SBR.

The player signed up and received a 50% bonus of €100 after making his initial deposit of €200.

He accepted a 20X rollover, meaning that he would have to put €2,200 in play (deposit + bonus) to complete his bonus obligation. However, in the middle of his rollover, he claims to have been limited to €7.

At this point, €1,050 in action was still required which translated to the player having to place 150 more bets. In addition, this bonus was accompanied by a 60 day window to complete the terms, so the player was thrust into an unenviable position.

Regardless, he set out to make the 150 bets at the low odds fearing Tonybet taking disciplinary action against him.

Unfortunately for him, after he was near the finish line, his rollover was increased to €2,500, requiring a further 43 bets to be placed.

After complaining that the bonus terms were changed mid-rollover, he was reportedly told the following: "TonyBet reserves the right to amend, cancel, reclaim or refuse any promotion at its own discretion."

He is requesting that Tonybet simply cancel the remaining rollover and prorate his bonus while paying all winnings. If the facts are as he lays them out, this is not an unreasonable request.

SBR has followed up with Tonybet to discuss the bonus complaint.

Players in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint form.
