TonyBet reverses course and agrees with SBR in bonus dispute

TonyBet Sportsbook has reversed course in the bonus dispute reported on twice by SBR.

In summary, a player had his bonus rollover agreement changed when he was just shy of completing a 150 bet play-through at the small limit of €7 per wager.

The player had been limited by the TonyBet risk management department and was forced to race against the clock to finish rollover.

Tonybet had a 60 day time-frame attached to the bonus promotion, causing the player to throw caution to the wind to attempt to quickly work through the fineprint.

However, TonyBet then informed him he had to complete an additional €300 in wagers as the offer he accepted had changed.

Sportsbook Review argued that this was unfair and not in line with regular industry standard. Players who deposit for specific bonuses and are complying with the terms cannot suddenly have brand new rules slapped on them.

Initially, TonyBet was unwilling to consider this opinion and stood by their decision following SBR intervention.

However, after further consideration, TonyBet agreed to let the player finish out his original rollover requirement. The betting site would not however give him more manageable wagering limits.

TonyBet, an Estonia based sportsbook, is presently being reviewed by SBR and will soon have an initial rating.
