Sportsbooks: Chiefs, Steelers Favored on Xmas Day
While the eggnog might be flowing plentifully today, one place where it is business as usual is the NFL sideline. Conversely, online sportsbooks still have a job to do, and Christmas Day sees two NFL games kicking off with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:30PM, and the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs at 8:30PM.
The Steelers are favored by -5.5 to -6 points at home in the day's opening game. The line is up from the opener of -4. A slight majority of bets with 51% are on the Steelers though the money split would be more lopsided given the recorded line movement to date.
The Kansas City Chiefs are favored by -3.5 points. The line opened at -3.5 and remains steady across a variety of online sportsbooks. Factoring in three points for homefield advantage (HFA), the Chiefs are considered to be about a half-point better than the Broncos at this closing stage of the NFL season.
