Netbet Sportsbook player submits €2550 dispute

A Netbet Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player has submitted a complaint.

The player opened his account on September 16, 2014 and made an opening deposit of €150. By the beginning of November his balance reached €2550 and he requested his first ever payout from the betting site.

Netbet proceeded to request a copy of the player's passport. He then supplied the passport and received notification that his document was accepted.

He says that this point he continued on requesting his first withdrawal, before the request was cancelled and he was accused of submitting a fake passport. Upon filing his complaint with SBR, the player took the liberty of including the copy of his passport, though this information was not requested.

The player has also claimed that his starting deposit was not returned by Netbet to his Skrill account.

Sportsbook Review officially initiated Netbet in the SBR ratings guide at C- in August 2013 after the rebranding of Bet770 Sportsbook.

Players have submitted a mixed bag of feedback against the sportsbook, ranging from bonus to customer service complaints.

SBR has followed up with Netbet management to discuss this player's complaint. In cases where the authenticity of personally identifying documents is in question, players are advised to have the documents in question certified. In most all cases, if a sportsbook is unwilling to consider notarized documents and cannot comment to SBR per privacy policy, the next step is to launch a complaint with the relevant gaming licensing authority.

Netbet Sportsbook is licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) of Malta.

Netbet users in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint.
