Washington Wizards At Boston Celtics

It’s only the second Game 7 of these NBA playoffs when the Wizards and Celtics meet in Boston on Monday night. The Cleveland Cavaliers await the winner in the East Finals. The Celtics may still be kicking themselves for letting Game 6 in D.C. get away as they led 87-82 with 1:25 to go. Washington’s win percentage was just 3.8 at that point. But win the Wizards did, 92-91 on a John Wall 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds left. That improved the home team to 10-0 in this series including the regular season. This will be a new experience for many key guys as just seven of the 10 players who lead the series in minutes have played in a Game 7 previously. “There’s a lot of power in having some naivete,” Boston coach Brad Stevens said. This game likely comes down to which star point guard can elevate his game the most: Wall of Boston’s Isaiah Thomas. The Celtics are -5 on NBA odds at Sportsbook Review’s top-rated betting sites

Tampa Bay Rays At Cleveland Indians

Looks to be the pitching matchup of the night between Rays ace Chris Archer and Cleveland’s Carlos Carrasco from Progressive Field. The opening total of 7.5 was the lowest of any game on Monday’s MLB slate. Archer (3-1, 3.04) comes off a dominant effort vs. the Royals in which he threw eight shutout innings while striking out 11 for the second game in a row. He’s second in the AL with 59 strikeouts. However, Archer is 0-5 with a 5.14 ERA vs. the Tribe in his career. This is just the second time the Rays are underdogs in one of Archer’s 2017 starts. Carrasco (4-2, 1.86) is fifth in the AL in ERA and first with a WHIP of 0.77. He also comes off a dominant effort, shutting out the Blue Jays on three hits over seven innings with seven strikeouts. Carrasco has not closed lower than -161 in any start this season, and the Indians have won five of his seven.

Deep Dive On FastPick

Sports gambling is largely illegal in the United States. DFS became the hottest thing going but then ran into legal troubles and has slowed considerably. How about a betting option that somewhat lies in between sports betting and fantasy sports? Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino is preparing to launch a new product that will test the boundaries between the two. The product, FastPick, is a house-banked fantasy sports parlay game that is the closest thing to sports betting available outside of Nevada. FastPick is basically a fantasy parlay wager. Players select from 3-10 heads-up matches selected by FastPick. They must pick the player that scores the most fantasy points in each matchup. Teddy & Pauly examine what this might add to the gambling market in the USA.
