Coral Sportsbook pleads the fifth on betting complaint

Sportsbook Review reported on a €400 winnings complaint filed by a Coral player earlier this week.

A player won €400 after winning two bets, and was subsequently asked to send over his ID documents to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process at Coral.

After he complied, Coral closed his account and confiscated his winnings. The player, a UK bettor, maintained that his documents were in perfect order and that the decision shocked him.

SBR followed up with Coral to discuss the case and was told that the sportsbook would not discuss the complaint. Coral cited their privacy policy and refused to address the complaint with a third party, which is how certain UK sportsbooks operate.

The player's next step would be to attempt to have his documents notarized by Coral. If that fails, he can pursue the matter further with the UK Gambling Commission.

Coral players with feedback are asked to write in to help@sportsbookreview.com.
