Betsafe investigating phone verification dispute

Online sportsbook Betsafe (SBR rating C-) has confirmed that they are investigating the sportsbook complaint filed by a sports bettor last week.

A player claimed that his £260 available balance was confiscated and his account closed after he failed to properly complete a random phone verification call.

He maintains that his ID documents are in order.

He claims that the reason he failed to complete the phone call successfully is that the representative who called him had a thick accent and that he did not recognize the company the agent was calling on behalf of, causing him to say that he did not have an account with the online sportsbook.

The player has stated his intention to file a complaint with the UK Gambling Commission if the complaint is not resolved in his favor.
