A Betsafe Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player has claimed that €22,500 were confiscated from his account. The player reportedly received two successful withdrawals before the balance adjustment. Betsafe is a Malta based sportsbook rated C- in the SBR directory of online sportsbook ratings. The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) of Malta issues their internet gaming license.

In September of last year, SBR reported that a winning Betsafe casino player had his account locked. Two weeks prior to that report, the Betsafe rating was lowered from C+ to C-.
