Betfair leaves Greek market, SBR iGaming News

Betfair Sportsbook (SBR rating A-) has left the Greek market. This marks the second withdrawal of the month from a European market, as Betfair also announced its departure from German market. Betfair cited regulatory and tax concerns as contributing to their decision. SBR news anchor Natalie discusses this topic and more in today's SBR iGaming News program.

Zynga shares have dropped by nearly 13% amidst its renegotiatons with Facebook, which will remove Facebook’s exclusivity over certain Zynga titles. Zynga will roll out real money gambling games on Facebook per the agreement, but on March 31st of next year, Zynga will not display Facebook ads through its own site nor support Facebook currency credits. 

CEO of British problem gambling charity GamCare Andy McLellan will step down from his post after years of service. McLellan previously held the role of an advisor with the company. McLellan reflected positively on his accomplishments with the organisation, stating the following: “During my time with GamCare we doubled the number of people we treat each year, launched a freephone helpline service, obtained The HelpLine Association’s kitemark of high quality and secured the charity’s future funding security,".
