Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee opposes legalized gambling but will allow a sports betting bill passed by the state legislature to become law without his signature. FanDuel announced today that it will be the first sports betting operator in the United States to stream live sports broadcasts with accompanying odds on its mobile app and website. This is an expansion of the existing partnership between FanDuel and Sportradar AG, a Swiss data and media corporation.

Three players filed complaints, each detailing that they have waited in excess of the 15 to 20 business day time-frame advertised by the online sportsbook. There's one hurdle down and several more to go for legal sports betting in Louisiana. Earlier this week, the state Senate Judiciary Committee voted 3-1 to allow sports betting in the state. The lone “no” vote came from Sen. Karen Carter Peterson D-New Orleans, who admitted earlier this year that she battles with gambling addiction.

The Iowa Legislature believes if the state builds sportsbooks, the bettors will come. The state House voted 67-31 to finalize legislation, sponsored by Rep. Bobby Kaufmann and Sen. Roby Smith, that allows legalized sports betting and wagering on fantasy sports sites such as DraftKings and FanDuel.

Talks between Senator Wilton Simpson (R-Trilby, FL) and the Seminole Tribe could bring sports betting to Florida possibly bypassing the need of a statewide referendum. Simpson, who is lined up to be the Senate president after the 2020 elections, is negotiating a revenue-sharing compact with the tribe.

In Pennsylvania, sports betting increased by almost one-third as additional venues opened in time for the college basketball championship. Gamblers bet a record $44.5 million in March, according to statistics released this week by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

After stalling in the state House due to bipartisan issues, a bill to bring sports wagering to Tennessee is advancing - slowly. House Bill 1, supported by Rep. Rick Staples (D-Knoxville) and a similar Senate bill, sponsored by Sen. Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) passed through the state House committee on a 12-5 vote.

On Tuesday, Rep. Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) and Rep. Brigid Kelly (D-Cincinnati) introduced a bill to create a Sports Gaming Advisory Board that would legalize and regulate sport wagering in Ohio. According to the legislation, the Ohio Lottery Commission would administer sport gambling in the state with the board providing research and recommendations to the lottery panel.
