SBR mailbag: Customer Service Complaints

Intertops (SBR rating C+)
– Customers complain that Intertops now taking three business days to process Neteller withdrawals. The change from two days was not noted on the website. Players also have reported that the book is not responding to email inquiries.

SportingbetUSA (SBR rating C+) – Player complains about LiveChat service.
“When I was on the live chat with one of their staff members, Frank, I was assured of a 15% immediate bonus within 24hrs. I waited 24hrs to no avail. So I did 3 live chats in 2hrs. The first guy (David) told me it would be credited in minutes. The 2nd guy at first told me it’s 24-48hrs but later corrected himself when I reminded him it is spelt out on his website (within 24hrs). The 3rd guy really dropped the bombshell, said that I need to show more patience and this being a Sunday usually experience heavy traffic and my bonus will take up to 36hrs! What crap, now I know why you guys give them a C+”

BetonUSA (SBR rating D-) – SBR continues to receive a steady flow of complaints.
“Hey Bill, I contacted BetOnUSA last night to see about the status of my Neteller withdrawal. They are completely giving me the run around. Last night I talked to a lady who said it would be processed within 48 hours and then it would take another 48 hours to receive it in my Neteller. That seemed logical as I went back and checked out the withdrawal slip and it said it would take 48 hours to process. Tonight I talked to a guy who basically said that they were sending it in a completely different way then I originally requested it (via Neteller). I told him that it was a mistake and it was supposed to get sent to my Neteller account as I requested. He said that he would change it making it another 48 hour processing wait and 5-7 days to reach my account. Thanks for the help! This will be the last time I deal with a book with this poor a rating.”

SBR Costa Rican Office: Impressive inspection of BoDog(SBR rating A-)

The typical sportsbook typically looks like organized chaos. And then there is BoDog. BoDog offices are bright and highly organized. Working conditions for clerks and staff is impressive. SBR continues to request BoDog consider changes to their conservative bookmaking approach. Putting betting lines up earlier even if wagering limits are lowered or circled until closer to game time is one such idea.

Royal Sports (SBR rating D) Tej sends armed men to intimidate SBR staff, SBR agrees to allow a corrected SBR Newswire. SBR reports no corrected report offered by Royal Sports.

After sending three armed thugs to detain SBR staff in Costa Rica it was decided SBR would give BetRoyal a week to clarify the SBR report that the infamous Tej was in fact the new owner of Royal Sports. Tej’s thugs were arrested without incident by heavily armed Costa Rican police while the forced meeting between Royal Sports and SBR was still taking place. SBR appreciates the remarkable response time and overwhelming force employed by Costa Rican police.

Royal Sports has now declined to issue a corrected statement as promised leaving little doubt that the original report by SBR was correct.

Tej’s tactics of intimidation threaten the industry and give critics of gaming in Costa Rica fuel for their argument that gaming attracts thugs, organized crime and other undesirables.

Question and Answers with CRIS (SBR rated A+):

Will CRIS deal a .10 baseball line this season?
No. We will still originate the lines and offer the best service in the industry. Players will find plenty of value and opinion in our lines.

Will we see any acquisitions by CRIS this year?
It is not in our strategic plans at this time to acquire anyone. Those (including SBR) that have speculated differently are 100% wrong. Now if something came along too good to pass by we might take a look at it but we are not looking at anyone at this time.

CRIS has made an impressive push into the recreational market appealing to small players, how will that be pushed forward?
We will continue to promote the brand. We need to educate the public that we offer a great product that caters to all levels of players,  not just the professional.

SBR Costa Rica: Cigar speaks with SBR on CRIS (SBR rating A+)

For those that might of thought that CRIS is complacent with simply being in every ones top 5, think again. "Our goal is to be number one". Much of the credit is given to Mickey who has risen through the ranks and took advantage of his opportunity to lead CRIS into the postup business. The addition of Gary has made this one of the best teams in the industry. CRIS has steadily climbed the SBR Top Sportsbook List from 6th last year to 2nd behind only Pinnacle. These two powerhouses will likely be a two-horse race for the foreseeable future.
