Nordic Betting Limited, which operates Bet24.com, has sent an email to all account-holders informing them of an electronic security breach. Bet24 was infiltrated by an unknown number of persons with access to the sportsbook databases. Bet24 returned SBR's inquiries this week expanding on the letter sent to players where it was stated that personal information including account passwords were compromised for as many as two full years. |

SBR: When did it first become apparent that individuals were in possession of customer data, and how do we know that customers registered after fall of 2009 weren't effected?

Bet24: Very recently we have been informed by the police authorities, following an arrest on their side. We have also made us aware that several other companies have experience unlawful intrusions and data were found with the arrested persons. We have no information to indicate any unauthorised access to our database or breach of our security systems since December 2009, and we have no reason to believe that accounts registered after 31 October 2009 are affected in any way. | Read the rest of the Bet24 interview

A BetPhoenix (SBR rating C) Moneybookers player confirms payment. The player originally asked for a £2000 payment via Moneybookers in March of 2011. BetPhoenix suggested the player open a Neteller account at the time of the withdrawal request but the player was unable to use that option. After continued discussion, BetPhoenix ultimately suggested that the player settle for a different payment method and agreed to asses the same lower would-be fees of  Moneybookers. The player reported receiving £2,110 today.

BetPhoenix has been inconsistent with eWallet payouts over the course of the year. The issues first started in the second-half of the 2010 football season. The downward spiral led to four rating adjustments since February. Users report $30,654 in delinquent pending payouts.

UPDATE: There are no longer outstanding Moneybookers complaints on file.

Four Jazz Sports (SBR rating C-) payout complaints have been submitted. Each user reports that the manager of the Jazz payout department is routinely unavailable and that it has been months since a partial payment was received. The total balance of all four users is approximately $196,255.

Players with payment complaints from the Jazz family are asked to submit sportsbook complaint forms. | Jazz users report delays

Player balances were moved from BetJamaica to TheGreek yesterday morning. Heritage Sports management has offered reassurances to these players and asked SBR to share this letter with readers. Heritage Sportsbook (SBR rating B+), like BetJamaica, has been online for over 8 years maintaining a high SBR rating. See Full Letter and brief Q&A

To Our New Clients from The Greek and Bet Jamaica,

We hope the transition has gone well for you.  I know we had a hiccup or two, but if you have any issues whatsoever please contact us.  We are here to make sure you are comfortable.
This was not a “slam-dunk” decision on our part.  As you know we have an existing client base that we are very protective over but The Greek was very persuasive in wanting to find a good home for you all and so we gave his companies all of our invitations this year.

BetJamaica Players
After 8 years BetJamaica will close its doors. Non-US account holders will see their accounts moved to parent sportsbook, TheGreek (SBR rating A+). If the player already has an account at TheGreek balances will be merged. The remainder of BetJamaica players will be moved to Heritage Sportsbook (SBR rating B+).

TheGreek's USA-based players
Accounts held by players within the USA will be moved to Heritage Sportsbook. Yesterday SBR spoke with the owner of the Jamaican group, The Greek, who stated that he personally guarantees player funds and withdrawals of these balances through Heritage Sports. Players with balances are free to play or withdraw their funds from Heritage as if accounts were still at TheGreek or BetJamaica. Players will be asked to acknowledge the account transfer to Heritage when they log in to their accounts at BetJam or TheGreek. | Forum Topic

Edit 6:30 AM: All pending wagers, including prop futures, will be honored and transferred with balances to Heritage Sports.

QuickSilver Sportsbook headed offline?

07.21.2011

Quicksilver Sports (BetQS) is not currently offering live help, phone or email support. In addition, the sportsbook's signup page is currently not functional. Sportsbook Review received a new non-payment complaint from a QS player that requested a $2,500 payment via C2P on September 8th, 2010. The player tells SBR that he is also unable to access his account. SBR hung a notice inside the Sportsbook & Industry subforum today asking former players to verify whether or not they could log-in to their accounts. BetQS' hosting switch has not yet been turned off, suggesting the sportsbook is not delinquent with hosting payments, or its plug has yet to be pulled.

QuickSilver players with feedback are asked to write to help@sportsbookreview.com. QuickSilver players have reported being owed over €25,000 for more than one year. QuickSilver is included in SBR's scam sportsbook blacklist.

A BetPhoenix (SBR rating C) player reports payment. On May 1st, 2011, the player requested a €689 withdrawal via Neteller. The payout was not paid in the quoted time-frame of 10-14 business days advertised for eWallet payments. After emailing and going to BetPhoenix live chat everyday for the better half of two months, it was suggested that the player accept an alternate payout method. The player agreed that he no longer wished to wait for Neteller, and reported receiving payment on Friday, July 15th, 2011.

Since SBR's last BetPhoenix report four weeks ago, an additional five slow-pay complaints have been reported. Players report waiting for $34,102, with the earliest payout request made in mid-March of 2011.

SBR advises players be persistent and to contact BetPhoenix CS on a daily basis, noting a desire to be paid an alternate method to avoid the now extreme eWallet payout delays. Players may ask to speak with "Tino", the individual now responsible for handling the management of the BetPhoenix day to day operations as well as overseeing the payout department. BetPhoenix players with payment disputes are asked to fill out a sportsbook complaint form.

VIP Sports to close August 1st, 2011

07.15.2011

VIP Sports (SBR rating B+) has announced it will close on August 1st, 2011. VIP Sports and sister sportsbooks Nine.com and BetGameday.com each display a note atop their homepage asking players to request a payout within the next two weeks. SBR is following up with VIP to ask what will happen with pending futures bets, and to inquire on who players should contact if their funds are not requested prior to the August 1st closure date.

VIP Sports history
VIP Sports has long been a player favorite, with a reputation of catering to their "VIP" customer base by offering personalized rewards programs. VIP Sports was based in the Dutch Antilles, operated by parent company Stockdale Investment Ltd. VIP Sports was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2005, and continued its prominence by acquiring the MyBookie Group which included Nine.com and Betcom.com.  VIP Sports also acquired the English Harbor Casino Group in November of 2005. In the spring of 2006, VIP Sports announced a full year gross profit of more than $80M, citing a 26% growth from 2005. VIP Sports lowered it's profile in the fall of 2006, deciding to no longer accept new player registrations from the United States on the heels of the UIGEA act. VIP Sports continued to operate a well-run sportsbook for the next six years.  Its next major announcement came in January of 2011, when the sportsbook announced that its grandfathered Washington State players could no longer maintain accounts with VIP, amidst legal questionmarks surrounding players from that state.

Players with any questions pertaining to their upcoming withdrawals for VIP Sports or any sister sportsbook should write to SBR at help@sportsbookreview.com. SBR may also be reached by phone during normal business hours at 1-830-255-4677.
