21KBet (SBR rating D-) is misleading players by claiming to be licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) of Malta. No such license exists. The LGA released a statement indicating that 21KBet has no connection whatsoever to the LGA. The 21KBet website claims to be headquartered in Malta. SBR has received forwarded emails from a 21KBet manager that went so far as to produce a bogus LGA registration number. The emails targeted players for deposits.

Sportsbook.com player owed $19,800 since October

A Sportsbook.com (ag) player writes SBR with a payment dispute. The player requested two withdrawals in October 2011 for $9,900 each. Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) recently updated their payment time-frame to six to eight weeks. The player points out that he has been waiting in excess of the posted time. On June 3rd, SBR reported that management would attempt to fast-track payment for a player also waiting longer than advertised.

Sportsbook.com moved their non-US players to Global.Sportsbook.com, an operation headquartered in Malta; one that is managed by YouWin Ltd. SBR reported on 28 September 2011 that players with pending wagers had their bets cancelled, an unethical decision that caused a great deal of criticism. Sportsbook.com later redacted its initial letter to players with a few conditions. Sportsbook.com's US operation is based in Costa Rica.

Three WSEX (SBR rating D-) players report payment. Two players received partial payments ($500 toward $1,100, $700 toward $8,000) from requests made in January and August 2011 respectively. A third player confirmed receivement payment in full ($244) on a payout request dated 8 February 2011.

GetWin payout disputes

Three GetWin (SBR rating C-) payment complaints have been reported. A total of €1,687 is owed to the players. The player waiting the longest requested €313 on 12 December 2011. GetWin allegedly quoted the player a two to five business day time-frame to receive his withdrawal. All three of the players claim that GetWin is not responding to their payout inquiries. SBR is following up on these complaints.

On 14 December 2011, SBR reported that GetWin Sportsbook was attempting to turn the corner. The Malta-based sportsbook originally debuted in the SBR ratings guide at D-. GetWin players filed complaints regarding confiscations made in the name of "organized betting". The sportsbook claimed that players were guilty of collectively pooling funds to circumvent limits and other account sanctions. GetWin released a statement to that effect on 31 May 2011. The majority of affected players had their accounts reopened. GetWin never fully satisfied SBR's requests. The sportsbook managed to make it through the summer with no additional complaints and was subsequently removed from the SBR blacklist.

21KBet payment complaint #14

A fourteenth 21KBet (SBR rating D-) user has filed a sportsbook complaint. The player states that he has a balance of approximately $1,500 and is unable to receive payment. SBR reported on January 4th that the sportsbook claimed Moneybookers was responsible for the delays. SBR has received only one payment confirmation from a player that reported receiving payment via bank wire.

BetClic confiscates player's balance

A BetClic (SBR rating D+) player files a sportsbook complaint. The player tells SBR that he deposited €20 to BetClic and increased his balance up to €115. He requested a withdrawal on December 30th, 2011. The player states that after a few days of not hearing back from the sportsbook he noticed his deposit was refunded. The player states that BetClic refuses to disclose why the remainder of his balance was confiscated. SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

CentreBet player from Norway owed balance

A CentreBet (SBR rating D+) player tells SBR that he was not paid after the sportsbook closed accounts belonging to Norwegian residents on 14 October 2011. CentreBet set a deadline of 11 November 2011 for player withdrawals from Norway. The player held a balance of 543.34 NOK ($90.5). His last bet was placed during the summer. The player claims that he received no email notification to request his balance. SBR is investigating this sportsbook dispute.

On  21 September 2011, SBR lowered CentreBet's rating to D+ after the sportsbook cheated a player in a live betting dispute. CentreBet suspended a football market on Benefica vs Arsenal mid-match, voiding a player's winning €2,500 wager. CentreBet did not dispute the player's version of the facts or elaborate on its action to SBR.

WSEX Sportsbook players owed $658,578

Five new WSEX complaints have been submitted. WSEX, the D- rated sportsbook that SBR reported owes more than 110 players, is no longer communicating with SBR. WSEX' debt to players is $658,578. WSEX gives only generic updates to players shifting blame onto payment processors for the extreme delays. The debts are as old as October of 2009. The disgraced sportsbook's last major effort to pay players came in the fall of 2010, when SBR reported that $124,617 was paid to players. The WSEX debt has more than quadrupled since.  115 players have outstanding sportsbook complaints against the blacklisted gaming company.
 

TopBet back on-line

TopBet (SBR rating D+) Sportsbook is back on-line.

New management acquired rights to the domain, while the betting platform is still powered by FutureBet. TopBet claims to be doing its own processing and utilizing FutureBet for software, hosting and wagering support. FutureBet, which is also known as Gametech/IGS, is an infamous turnkey provider that has stiffed players and sports operators more than $1M.

TopBet has been removed from the SBR Sportsbook blacklist after six years, however SBR cautions readers to be cognizant of the risk playing at brands on the FutureBet platform. FutureBet charges TopBet a monthly royalty to use its services, but is able to shut the operator off at anytime or compromise player account security.

TopBet players that have outstanding claims against the sportsbook should file a sportsbook complaint form.

21KBet (SBR rating D-) is currently not paying players that deposited via Moneybookers. In an unusual twist, 21KBet pins the blame on Moneybookers by claiming that the eWallet service "does not pay" deposited funds. The most bizarre aspect of 21KBet's assertions is that funds sent by a user to their Moneybookers account is immediately available in their balance. The sportsbook is suggesting that it cannot withdraw those deposits to an off-line bank account - another matter entirely, one that players are not responsible for.

Sportsbook.com addresses payment dispute

Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) management says the player from SBR's December 25th report will receive payment soon. After winning a $48,000 parlay, the player requested his balance on November 8th, 2011. He learned that the time-frame on payments available to him increased to six to eight weeks. The player wrote to SBR on December 25th indicating that no payments have been received. Sportsbook.com will attempt to expedite payment to the player to make up for the tardy processing. SBR will update this report once the player confirms payment.
 

Bet770 resolves £400 claim

Bet770 (SBR rating D+) has resolved the sportsbook dispute reported by SBR on January 1st, 2012. Bet770 credited the €400 which was inexplicably removed from the player's account. The sportsbook tells SBR that the player has already made a successful withdrawal request. SBR considers the matter resolved.

MyBet confiscates player's winnings

MyBet (SBR rating D) confiscates €911. A MyBet player who deposited €410 into the sportsbook increased his balance to €1,321, then had his account closed and deposit refunded. MyBet stated that unspecified violations necessitated the move, but declined to share those reasons with SBR. The sportsbook claims the player was made aware of the details - the player denies receiving any explanation from MyBet on the funds confiscation.

This is the fourth open dispute against MyBet for confiscation of player balances. In each case, MyBet has failed to offer evidence of wrongdoing to the players involved or SBR.  Most recently, SBR reported on 21 November 2011 that a player had an €80 deposit refunded and more than €300 in winnings voided.

MyBet's sportsbook rating has been lowered from D+ to D. MyBet is a Malta-based organisation that caters to the European market.

Bet770 adjusts player's balance without providing explanation

A Bet770 (SBR rating D+) player states he joined the sportsbook, deposited £1,000 and began wagering. The player states he made several wagers on the Manchester United vs Blackburn game, the Swansea vs Spurs football match, and was expecting his account balance to be £920. Inexplicably, the player claims his balance was adjusted to £520 by Bet770, and that his follow-up queries have not been answered. SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

SBR reported on October 25th, 2011 that a Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) player was having difficulty withdrawing $6,800. On November 1st, an update report was published to highlight Sportsbook.com management addressing the complaint. Sportsbook.com stated the player's request had been unsuccessful due to not providing adequate ID documents. The player states the payment has failed again. SBR is following up on the complaint.
 

WagerChief update

A BetPhoenix (SBR rating C) manager confirms sister site WagerChief's technical outage. SBR is told that the WagerChief website is expected to be back up within one hour. SBR initially reported on the WC outage on December 28th.

BetUS player claims no payment since September

12.29.2011


A BetUS (SBR rating D+) player that requested a $1,000 payment in September claims he still has not been paid. The player tells SBR that his first payout request failed and that BetUS' makeup payment was also botched. The player believes he will not be paid and has called BetUS a scam in a letter to SBR.  This is the third payment complaint of this kind in the last four weeks. SBR is following up on the player's sportsbook complaint.

Three 21KBet (unrated) players have filed payout complaints. Two of the players state that withdrawal requests initiated in early December have not been filled, whilst a third player indicates that 21KBet claims to have submitted the payment, though his Moneybookers account has not been credited. SBR is investigating these sportsbook complaints.

Update: BetPhoenix restored the player's wagering limits to a reasonable amount. The matter is considered resolved.

A BetPhoenix (SBR rating C) player writes in with a bonus dispute. The player tells SBR that he deposited $10,000 and received a $3,000 bonus. He claims to have rolled over approximately $77,000 of the required $208,000. After logging into his account to place an NBA wager, the player noticed that BetPhoenix cut his limits to $50 max. SBR will ask the sportsbook to either cut the player loose (paying all winnings + prorated bonus amount) or to restore reasonable limits on the account for completion of the rollover. SBR will update this report.

Sportsbook.com payout feedback wanted

A Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) player who won a $48,000 parlay on a $20 wager writes in with feedback. The player states that a month prior to hitting the parlay, a $2,500 payout was fulfilled in three weeks. After making the huge score, the player claims that Sportsbook.com told him their payout timeframe had been increased to 6-8 weeks. The player has requested the entirety of his balance on November 8th, 2011 and has yet to receive any of the payments. BetAtHome player account locked

12.24.2011


A BetAtHome (SBR rating C-) player tells SBR that his account has been closed. The player states that he requested a withdrawal after meeting rollover requirements, provided his ID and found that his account was suddenly locked. The player alleges that he held a balance of €865 with BetAtHome. SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

On November 14th, SBR reported that an unrelated player also had his account frozen. The player in that dispute claimed to have operated a BetAtHome sportsbook account for more than one year, making multiple deposits and redeeming numerous bonus offers. BetAtHome alleged that the player's ID appeared to be fraudulent, however BAH was unwilling to discuss the dispute further citing data protection. SBR advised the player to file a complaint through the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) of Malta.
