SBG Global (SBR rating D-) has addressed two payment complaints reported by SBR earlier this month. In the first dispute, a player reported requesting a $5,000 withdrawal on March 23rd. In the second dispute, a player told SBR he asked for $5,000 on April 3rd. SBG Global has stated that both players have since received payment. SBR is asking the players to confirm, and will consider these two disputes closed.

GTBets management tells SBR that they are working a new mobile platform set to launch late summer, as well as an upgraded version of their website. GTBets currently uses the proprietary software once featured at the VIP Sports family. GTBets.com was introduced to the SBR sportsbook ratings on August 23rd, 2011. The sportsbook is located in Curacao.

Update: BetIslands is online and can be accessed at www.betislands.mx. The sportsbook tells SBR that they have hired additional technical personnel and are changing internet providers as a result of the downtime.BetIslands (SBR rating B) has battled distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks off and on since May 8th. SBR reported that BetIslands management was bringing in a team of specialists to audit the network and make technical upgrades to protect against the attacks. The sportsbook is currently off-line again, but is continuing to accept player wagers via telephone at 1-800-998-8632. SBR will update as BetIslands comes back online.

A Tipico (SBR rating C-) player submits an account dispute. The player states that he has been refused his winnings on the grounds of being unable to provide a banking statement in English. The player, a native Russian, claims that his institution is unable to satisfy this request. SBR is examining the facts of this dispute and will update this sportsbook report. On May 8th, SBR reported the resolution of a €195 winnings dispute involving Tipico.

On May 8th, 2012, SBR reported that a Cashpoint (SBR rating C-) player submitted a payment complaint. The player claimed a €291 Moneybookers payout requested five days earlier had not been paid, and that the time-frame for payment was one business day. Cashpoint responded to SBR's inquiry stating the player has been paid. A new Cashpoint dispute has been filed by a player who claims his balance has been zeroed.

A Bet33 (SBR rating C-) player claims that $1,899 has been debited from his balance. The player states he logged into his account and found a note that all past-posted winning plays would be deleted. The player claims that Bet33 deleted all winning plays, but not "losing plays". Although the player has not expressly admitted past-posting intentionally, he acknowledged that he placed wagers via telephone and that each time a clerk accepted his bet over the phone.

A BetUS (SBR rating D+) submits a bonus complaint. The player tells SBR that he signed up, deposited $2,000 and took a starter bonus. He claims that after a period of successful play, BetUS closed his account and informed him that he was considered a non-recreational bettor. The player claims that the amount the sportsbook agreed to pay him was approximately $1,500 less than what he expected. The player does not know exactly how much left in bonus rollover he has as he is shut off from his account. SBR is following up on this complaint.

Sportingbet (SBR rating D+) advises SBR that they will look further into the dispute reported on May 10th. A player contacted SBR stating that a 50% free bet was denied by the company. The player claimed to have been in full compliance with the promo terms. Earlier this week, SBR reported on a bonus dispute where a player was denied an earned bonus; in this dispute, the player followed up the complaint with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, who rubberstamped Sportingbet's decision. SBR will update this report.

A 24WinBet (unrated) player submits a complaint. The player tells SBR that he opened his account on April 26th, 2012, depositing €300. The player states he won his first few bets, and increased his balance to €1,710. 24WinBet allegedly blocked the player's account without word, and is not communicating with the player on what he must do to unlock his account. SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

UPDATE 5/11 9:30 CST: BetIslands is back up. The sportsbook tells SBR that they have battle distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks and will be bringing in a team of specialists to help the book improve  its DDOS defense.

UPDATE 5/11 6:30 CST: BetIslands is currently off-line again.

UPDATE: BetIslands is back online.
BetIslands Sportsbook is currently down. SBR is following up with management to confirm the details of the technical outage. On May 8th, SBR reported that BetIslands website was offline for an extended period of time.

A new Sportingbet (SBR rating D+) bonus complaint has been received. On May 8th, SBR reported that Sportingbet refused to honour a player's bonus; a decision that was ultimately rubberstamped by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. SBR has received a new complaint from a player who was denied a 50% free bet during the Europa League final. The player claims to have fully followed the Sportingbet T&C. SBR is following up on this complaint.

WSEX Sportsbook (SBR rating D-) players have reported being owed $825,744. SBR currently has 157 payment complaints on file. WSEX Sportsbook has ceased discussing player cases with SBR. WSEX provides generic updates to players, mostly pinning the blame on failed processors and the US banking climate. The once well-regarded outfit is currently rated D- and sits on the SBR sportsbook blacklist. Players are advised to avoid depositing with the sportsbook.

Betsson (SBR rating C+) has addressed the sportsbook complaint reported by SBR in yesterday's iGaming news video. In this dispute, a player who deposited €150 on April 27th had €1,780 confiscated after the sportsbook alleges the player was not the person controlling the account. The player described to SBR having been randomly interviewed by Betsson via telephone, asked a series of questions and later told that all answers were correct.

Sportsbook.com US (SBR rating D-) management has addressed the Kentucky Derby wagering dispute reported by SBR on May 6th, 2012. A player detailed having a winning wager on "I'll Have Another Win" payout at 9-1 odds, allegedly shorting him $252 (the payout at what the player believed the horses final odds were). Management has clarified that the player's wager was placed in the fixed odds section of the sportsbook, not in the racebook; hence the non-track odds payout. SBR considers this dispute closed.

Update: BetIslands is back online. BetIslands (SBR rating B) website is currently experiencing server issues. Management confirmed the issue is being worked on by the IT department. Players are able to place a wager via telephone whilst the server issues are sorted. SBR will update this report as more information becomes available.

A Cashpoint (SBR rating C-) player submits a payment complaint. The player states that a €296 withdrawal was requested on May 3rd via Moneybookers. The player believed that the payment would be paid in one business day. The player states that Cashpoint has not responded to his payout inquiries or provided any insight on when he can expect to be paid. SBR is following up on this payment complaint, and asks any Cashpoint users with feedback to write to help@sportsbookreview.com.

A fifth SBG Global (SBR rating D-) complaint has been reported. A player requested a $5,000 withdrawal on Tuesday, April 3rd. The player states the funds were removed from his account the same day. He followed up for an update on the payment status after one week, but was told that the SBG Global processor would not be available to issue payment until April 17th — two weeks after the player's initial request — and that the player could follow up at that time. The player describes a nightmarish experience with SBG Global support since, and has yet to be paid.

A Sportingbet (SBR rating D+) player has been denied a £50 free bet promotion. The player signed up to take advantage of the "risk free" proposition, which only required that the player's first wager be placed at odds of 1.5 or greater. After placing a losing wager on the Wolverhampton Wanderers, the player expected to see the £50 free bet. One week passed and the player decided to make an enquiry with Sportingbet. The player was told that the bonus would not be issued in accordance with a policy that allowed it to not honour its promotion at its own discretion.

On April 12th, 2012, SBR reported that Unibet (SBR rating B-) agreed to acquire Bet24 (SBR rating C). Unibet spent €13.5 million on the acquisition. As part of the deal, a few dozen Bet24 employees were transferred over to Unibet. A Bet24 player wrote SBR stating that his future bets will not be migrated over to the Unibet platform.

On May 3rd, 2012, SBR reported that Tipico (SBR rating C-) confiscated €195 in winnings from a player. The player told SBR that his ID was approved, but that allegations of money laundering led to the closure of his account. The player reached out to SBR asking for help after being unable to resolve the matter himself. SBR followed up with Tipico, who stated that it was a misunderstanding and that whilst the book decided to close the player's account, it never intended to not pay the account winnings. SBR considers this dispute closed.

Two new Sportsbetting.ag (SBR rating D+) complaints have been reported. The players tell SBR that Sportsbetting.ag took one of their most popular payment methods away; and are telling the players that the only way to receive their funds involve them waiting between 20 and 62 business days. SBR has received numerous Sportsbetting.ag player complaints this year, and downgraded the sportsbook to a rating of D+.

A Sportsbook.com US (SBR rating D-) player submits a Kentucky Derby wagering dispute. The player tells SBR that he wagered on horse "I'll Have Another Win" for $40. He complains that the horse paid out 9-1, rather than what he claims the track odds were for the horse. The player states that he believes he is owed $252 in winnings, but alleges that Sportsbook.com concluded the wager was graded properly. The case remains outstanding.
