Update 2/21, 10AM ET: The player was shown to have defrauded the sportsbook. The dispute was satisfactorily resolved by BetClic.

On January 12th, SBR reported that a BetClic Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player filed an account dispute. The player claimed that his account was suspended six months ago with a €151 balance. He also claimed his documents were verified. SBR followed up with BetClic Sportsbook management for comment on this case.

24SportsWeb Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) remains off-line. On January 21st, SBR reported that the Costa Rica based sportsbook went off-line without word. Since that time SBR has confirmed that 24SportsWeb has unpaid hosting fees and is no longer stationed in the Instant Action Sports facility. Players have reported being owed more than $35,000.

On January 23rd, SBR reported that a MarathonBet player filed a €10,000 dispute. The player claimed his account access was disabled and that his questions have not been answered. SBR reached out to MarathonBet, though the sportsbook cited data protection rules. MarathonBet later followed up to say the player's account has been sorted. SBR considers this dispute closed.

SBR provides an iGaming News video update for Friday, January 25th, 2013. The headliner of today's show is the legal battle between New Jersey and the major sports leagues, the NCAA, and now the US Department of Justice. NJ is attempting to bring sportsbooks to Atlantic City, but must convince US District Court Judge Michael Shipp that existing federal legislation is unconstitutional.

Ladbrokes (SBR rating A) has acquired BetDaq Sportsbook in a deal worth €30 million, which includes €15m in Ladbrokes shares. Ladbrokes will also acquire a 10% stake in TBH Guernsey Ltd, BetDaq's technology provider. The news is underscored by Ladrokes' CEO Richard Glynn making his first acquisition since taking the helm three years ago.

A MarathonBet Sportsbook (SBR rating B-) player submits an account dispute. The user claims that MarathonBet suspended his account more than a week ago, which holds a €10,000 balance. He has been told that he is under review and no time-table has been given on his account being unlocked. SBR is investigating this claim.

SBR has spoken with InstantActionSports management, former host of 24SportsWeb (SBR rating D+). 24SportsWeb went off-line early yesterday without giving notice to players. IAS management told SBR that 24SportsWeb is behind on hosting fees and is no longer actively communicating regarding their debt.

24SportsWeb Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) is currently off-line. The Costa Rica based sportsbook's phone numbers are also down. 24SportsWeb, which operates under Instant Action Sports, had recently been downgraded by SBR for failure to pay players in their advertised withdrawal times. SBR is investigating and will update this report.

BetAtHome (SBR rating C-) has reportedly confiscated €698 from a player. The user told SBR that he deposited €712 after signing in through his friend's computer, who has a referrer's account with BetAtHome. BetAtHome reportedly told the player he was in violation of their terms and conditions and refunded his deposit. BetAtHome has deferred to the LGA's judgment in this case.

A Unibet Sportsbook (SBR rating C) player submits an account dispute. The player tells SBR that he deposited €200 on December 17th, and placed one bet for €140. A day later the player claims Unibet closed his account, refunded the deposit, and seized €119 in bet winnings. SBR is investigating this Unibet claim.

WagerUp Sportsbook (SBR rating C) management has addressed the dispute reported by SBR on January 15th. A player claimed that after clearing 40% of his 30X rollover, his limits were slashed to $50 maximum and that he was denied the option of having his bonus winnings prorated. He then said his account was closed. WagerUp disagrees with the facts of the player's claim.

WagerWeb Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) has issued a settlement offer to the player in the much publicized correlated parlay dispute which was first reported in December of 2009. The player made a series of highly correlated same-game parlay wagers that offered a substantial edge; bets that are not customarily accepted. WagerWeb cited their house rules in voiding the play.

Schleswig-Holstein has issued online sports betting licenses to Sportingbet, Jaxx, and Primebet International. There are currently 18 licensed operators in the Northern German state. The Sportingbet license falls under their subsidiary Spread Your Wings Germany Ltd. The Jaxx license will be operated under MyBet.

Bet33 (SBR rating D+) has addressed the payout complaint reported by SBR on January 15th. Bet33 admitted that the player had not been paid in four weeks, depsite being on a payment plan after having his account closed with a $8,614 balance three months ago. No reason was given for the delay. The player is allegedly being paid in full in two transactions this week.

PokerStars is dominating gaming industry headlines once again. Fresh off their settlement with the US DOJ, PokerStars is looking to acquire an Atlantic City casino—the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel. PokerStars parent company, Rational Group US Holdings, is seeking approval for a deal that would make PokerStars the first internet gambling company to purchase an Atlantic City casino.

Heritage Sportsbook (SBR rating A) has discontinued its poker room. Management tells Sportsbook Review that other options will be considered in the future if there is a player demand. Heritage enabled poker access in August of last year as reported by SBR. Heritage account holders were notified of the decision by email.

5Dimes Sportsbook (SBR rating A+) is now offering Realtime Gaming (RTG) casino games. RTG is renowned for developing casino software and is one of the premier companies of its kind. RTG was founded in 1998 and later acquired in 2007 by Curacao based group Hastings International. 5Dimes users are able to access the newly added games by accessing the Grand Casino tab.

He says he was then placed on a weekly payout plan. The last payment was made on December 19th. The player states he is still owed $1,736 and that Bet33 has not given any details on when he will be paid again.

A BetClic Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player has filed an account dispute. The player claims that BetClic blocked his account, which held a €151 balance, six months ago. He alleges that all of his documentswere approved by the betting sites and that the account was created in 2010. SBR is investigating.
