GoalWin Sportsbook payout dispute pending

A GoalWin Sportsbook (unrated) player has submitted a payout complaint. The player has reported to SBR that he initiated a €550 payout request from GoalWin Sportsbook on 16 April 2014. He was notified by the payout department that the transaction was scheduled for processing; although the funds were not forthcoming. At this point, the player sent a follow-up email to GoalWin Sportsbook regarding the status of the payout. GoalWin apologized for the delay but provided no additional information to the user on when he could expect to receive payment. Sportsbook Review reached out to GoalWin for comment on the matter.

Sportsbook Review has learned that following new regulations, Playtech will restrict both new and existing customers from Belgium effective 29 April 2014. Belgium based users will no longer be able to register with any Playtech online sportsbook or casino product. While popular british Bookmaker William Hill no longer allowed new Belgium players as of last year, existing Belgium users must withdraw their funds.

The sportsbook cites an issue keeping the website from accessing information in the database. It is being repaired at the datacenter. Players can call 866-924-3772 for wagering.

SBR has advised multiple sportsbooks of the SSL Heartbleed vulnerability and each have taken emergency steps to fix or has already patched this internet-wide security issue. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) refers to the "S" in HTTPS. The technology industry has been reeling due to a recently discovered bug dubbed as the "Heartbleed" bug which effectively allows malicious users or just about anybody with some technical savvy to intercept SSL layered communications. Essentially, an attacker up to no good can attempt to apploit an SSL using website that has not already applied a patch to resolve the issue. SBR urges players to not use the same password at more than one sportsbook and to change their password for peace of mind.
