During the period of time when Jazz Sportsbook and related sister sites including ABC Islands and Looselines were downgraded, no slow-pay complaints were filed from average users. Management claimed this was as 99% of their player base had been unaffected aside from the professional action it had accepted. Since clearing up these larger obligations, no other claims have been submitted. In light of getting their payouts back on the track, the sportsbook family has been upgraded to the mark of B-. Sportingbet decides not to pay earned bonus ... again

06.18.2014

Online sportsbook Sportingbet (SBR rating D+) has refused to apply another earned bonus. A player wrote in to SBR detailing that he decided to take Sportingbet up on their offer of a 50% free bet bonus up to €250. He deposited €500 and made an all-in wager. The wager ended up losing and the player still had not been credited with his bonus, so he raised an inquiry with Sportingbet support. Sportingbet told him that it can take up to 48 hours. After that time-frame expired, the player was told that was was excluded from the bonus. The sportsbook has long enforced a rule that allowed for earned bonuses not to be credited if it is believed the player has violated the following rule:

Sportingbet reserves the right to  refuse a free bet to a customer where Sportingbet reasonably believes that such  customer has historically or is abusing or defrauding the free bet system, for  example engaging in arbitrage."

SBR reported in May of 2012 of this very same practice. At the time, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) rubberstamped this decision. Additional reports were made in January of 2013 as well as during the first half of 2014 concerning this practice. While it is not uncommon for online sportsbooks to craft rules protecting themselves from the extreme case of bonus abusers, SBR questions the continued application of the rule by Sportingbet.
