YouWager Sportsbook (SBR rating B+) accepted its first sports wager in 1999. Parent company First Fidelity was created in 1994. YouWager changed its primary domain from .com to .eu in September of 2013.  Headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica, with a workforce of 200 plus, YouWager's operation is among the largest in the land. The biggest complaint players have made over the years has been aggressive promotional solicitations or cold calls; which YouWager has curbed due to player feedback and the evolution of marketing into more electronic mediums. YouWager's sign up and reload bonuses are a source of positive user feedback, as is their loyalty program. Payouts have been a strong point for the sportsbook consistently. Sportsbook Review has received no payout complaints against the shop in 2014. It stands to reason that this payout track record plus a consistent bonus model helped YouWager be voted number six spot in the recent SBR users top sportsbook poll - its best placement in the poll's history.

YouWager's betting markets now have more of an international flavor. Once regarded as a North American facing website, YouWager has significantly added to their international soccer line-up, offering markets on every significant soccer competition inside and outside of the Americas. YouWager also spreads markets on tennis tournaments year round, including a steady supply of proposition wagers such as correct set score betting, set winner, total set games, and more. For the younger North American and Canadian facing crowd, there are many mixed martial events and UFC betting markets trading at any given time. At the time of this publication, YouWager is spreading eighteen wagering markets for the UFC during a slow spot in the combat sports calendar. One consequence to offering an expanded betting cart is the occasional wagering dispute: It is in this end that YouWager has excelled. Management keeps an open line of communication with SBR and always acts in line with the industry standard.

YouWager is one of the online sportsbooks that have supplied their XML feed to be featured on the real-time odds monitoring service SBR Odds. YouWager has remained on the SBR Odds website since their addition in July of 2010.

YouWager management have confirmed to SBR that they are planning to release a revamped mobile betting platform in the coming days. Sportsbook Review will add to this profile upon the release of the mobile product with screenshots and everything you need to know when placing a bet with your smartphone or mobile device. YouWager players with feedback are encouraged to write to Sportsbook Review.

Sportsbook Review provides an SBR iGaming News video update for Friday, July 19. Topics discussed in today's online sportsbook news broadcast include the recent report on Oddsmaker Sportsbook (SBR rating F). Oddsmaker is a sportsbook that has confiscated more than $250,000 from winning players in their troubled history. Despite having a highly marketable URL and a coveted player base, the scam sportsbook has fleeced players whose only offense was beating the sportsbook linesmakers. Since publishing the report on Oddsmaker, decided feedback has come in from players who were victimized by the sportsbook, including one player who claims that $45,000 in winnings were erased.

Oddsmaker Sportsbook payout feedback wanted

07.17.2014

Oddsmaker Sportsbook (SBR rating F) has a documented history of confiscating winnings from players labeled as "non-recreational". Oddsmaker also has engaged in deceptive bonus promotions throughout their history which led to multiple downgrades by SBR and eventual placement on the blacklist. Oddsmaker has a highly marketable URL and a coveted user base, so despite being put on blast at many sportsbook news sites for their dodgy tactics, the book remains in business. Sportsbook Review received a letter from a player this week expressing concern over being paid his $5,000+ balance. The exact amount of the balance will not be published so that Oddsmaker cannot identify the user. Sportsbook Review advised the player to request his payout as normal and to report his feedback. Oddsmaker has shown in the past that large winners draw their ire, as was the case in the infamous $45,000 winnings confiscation which was eventually made a partial settlement. Players with Oddsmaker feedback or sportsbook complaints are invited to write to SBR at mail@sportsbookreview.com.

Sportingbet refunds player's deposit and permanently closes account

07.16.2014

A Sportingbet (SBR rating C-) player has filed a sportsbook complaint. The player claimed to have deposited €100 with Sportingbet via Neteller, accepted a 100% bonus and began wagering as normal. After working the balance up, Sportingbet allegedly closed the player's account and refunded the €100 deposit to the player's Neteller account. Sportingbet informed the player that their account would be permanently closed and provided no additional information. Sportsbook Review is investigating the player's claim.

BetCas Sportsbook vs. Player

07.15.2014

A BetCas.com (unrated) player has submitted a complaint. The player tells SBR he registered for the online sportsbook during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and took a 100% match bonus offer up to $500. The player deposited $250 and proceeded to wager throughout the football tournament. After increasing his balance to £3,500, the player ran into difficulty. He says that he fully completed his turnover requirement by the halfway stage of the World Cup and confirmed with BetCas support that he was eligible for withdrawal. First, he tells SBR that he was required to verify his ID with BetCas. The player claims that the only issue he ran into was that his utility bill was not issued in his name; he says that he has no such bill due to his living arrangement. Shortly after supplying his ID, BetCas allegedly suspended his account citing irregularities with his IP address log-in patterns. The player makes no secret of logging in from either his home or mobile device while traveling, but claims that he has broken no rules. BetCas has yet to release his balance. SBR will investigate the player's claim against BetCas.

Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby is available for wagering at a number of online sportsbooks. The Sportsbook Review MLB Prop Betting Directory lists out the available prop betting markets. As of right now, Yasiel Puig is approximately +550 to win the HR Derby at 5Dimes Sportsbook (SBR rating A+). A $100 wager returns $550 for Puig to win the 2014 Home Run Derby. This is presently the best available payoff on Puig to win the HR Derby.

Another popular home run derby market are the head to head match ups of players that are based on round one performance. You can bet on Yasiel Pug sending more out of the park than his MLB counterparts. The pricing of these markets differ slightly from each of the online sportsbooks, so locking in the best available market price by using the MLB Prop Betting Directory is a good idea.

SBR Network Now Under One Roof; SBRforum.com merges with Sportsbook Review

07.11.2014

Sportsbook Review began in 1999 as a log of sportsbook activity, player feedback and a dispute resolution service. Based on the information from a growing player audience SBR launched the first Sportsbook Rating Guide in 2002. In 2004 SBR took online sportsbook comparison a step further with SBRodds.com which put bookmaker odds and price margins side by side. In 2005 the SBR network added a posting forum for players to share their opinion of the best sportsbooks, complaints, and handicapping info. The following year SBR, through SBRforum.com, began hosting information for handicapper matchups, game stats, shared free picks, and game breakdowns from sports analysts. Newer websites include SBRpoker.com and SBRvideo.com. Each site served players differently. Due to the growing number of customizable features for which players use a single account ID to log in to the SBR network, all sites have been consolidated under SportsbookReview.com. However, all features remain and are accessible through the same branded website pages. Below is a short list of some of the features in the SBR network.

SBRforum.com: The website hosts handicapper tools such as betting calculators, matchups and league pages. The most popular league pages in July were UFC picks, MLB picks and Soccer picks. All analysis, including info for the 2014 NFL season, can now be found on SportsbookReview.com/Picks.

SBRvideo.com: In 2006 SBR launched a video production studio. Powered by a talented video team that works largely behind the scenes and hosts Peter Loshak and Natalie Rydström in front of the camera SBR has published 1000s of video features. SBR will continue its growing video coverage of both handicapping of sporting events and industry news at SportsbookReview.com/Video.

Betpoints and the SBRstore: Players within the SBR community can use their free BetPoints to play against each in the SBRpoker Room (In mid 2010 SBR began working on its own poker software for members), bet at the SBRsportsbook or win enter contest at SBRcontests.com. SBR Trivia, played within the posting forum, is another great free way to collect. Betpoints can be redeemed for real prizes in the SBRstore.
Note: SBRcontests.com will soon be launching its 10th Annual Beat The Pick Football Handicapper contest

Forum.SBRforum.com: The aforementioned posting community can now be found at SportsbookReview.com/Forum.

SBRodds.com: The free live odds service can still be accessed directly or at Sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds. Over 200 additional leagues that will include every soccer and tennis match will be introduced before Super Bowl 50.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup saw Germany annihilate Brazil in their semi-final match up Tuesday. The final scoreline read 7-1. Online sportsbook Pinnacle Sports (SBR rating A+) was among the bookmakers to take a large number of bets on Germany. Sports bettors may have felt the loss of star player Neymar de Silva Santos Junior was reason enough to put their dollars behind the Germans. The gamble paid off and then some, although a percentage of gamblers had Germany to win by clean sheet or even 1-0 exact score. | Pinnacle Sports statement on result

Online sportsbook Canbet players hope to be paid

07.06.2014

Canbet Sportsbook players remain owed over $1 million. Sportsbook Review last reported via video update that sportsbook complaints continued to flow in from users that have not been paid. Unfortunately for these players, there have been no positive updates resulting from any bailout discussions. Players next hope comes from the form of a liquidation of the sportsbook's assets, although this would account only for a fraction of the total funds owed by Canbet. SBR remains hopeful that a deal can be made and will update upon readers upon learning of any new developments.

Jazz Sportsbook group upgraded

07.05.2014

Sportsbook Review reported in January that the Jazz Sportsbook Group paid over $300,000 in outstanding funds to a handful of large winners that had been on payment plans. These players were regarded as professional users. During the period of time when Jazz Sportsbook and related sister sites including ABC Islands and Looselines were downgraded, no slow-pay complaints were filed from average users. Management claimed this was as 99% of their player base had been unaffected aside from the professional action it had accepted. Since clearing up these larger obligations, no other claims have been submitted. In light of getting their payouts back on the track, the sportsbook family has been upgraded to the mark of B-. Player feedback is welcomed.

HitItBet Sportsbook player writes in

07.02.2014

A HitItBet Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player has filed a complaint with SBR indicating that his account has been blocked. The player provided HitItBet with his driver's license as proof of ID but HititBet rejected the ID, asking for a photo ID or passport. While SBR has disagreed with HitItBet's enforcement of account confiscations in the past, players must be able to produce picture ID to verify their accounts and be in full compliance with a sportsbook's KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations. SBR advises players to keep a flash drive ready with commonly requested documents such as ID or utility bills to make their experience smoother when verifying their identities with an online sportsbook. HitItBet Sportsbook players with feedback are encouraged to write to SBR.
