While both ratings are on the sportsbook blacklist, there are some key differences to consider when when evaluating online betting sites by rating. SBR advises players to stick with well-rated sports betting sites to avoid hassle, but understands that players who believe in living dangerously attempt to weight the risk vs. the reward of depositing with a less than stellar betting site. What is the difference?

Sportsbook Review Readers react to $51,000 BetMayor Confiscation

04.23.2015

News broke last night of a $51,000 confisaction at BetMayor Sportsbook. A player went on a hot streak for two months in the BetMayor casino, and was categorized as having used optimal strategy for 87% of almost 4,000 hands. BetMayor claimed that the player was in violation of their terms and conditions because his play was considered professional. SBR members are sounding off at the unpopular decision, which amounts to theft:

SBR member harvesters: "I'm so confused by this - so because he won everyday it wasn't recreational? Is it because he won or because he played every day? Would they take issue with someone who plays every day and loses every day?," the post read.

SBR member tomallen123: "They rated the player in "Category 3" (87%), meaning his strategy was 87% Optimal? How do they figure that gives him over 85% chance of winning? Astounded by this. It's not a difficult game and I'm sure most people who play it regularly would score pretty high on that."

SBR member Courtesywipe may have landed the biggest blow: "You all are looking too deep into this. There is no cheating at BJ online. The dude won money and the SCAM site won't pay the money. period. That's the price this dude should pay for depositing 5k at a online sportsbook that has no rating and only been open for business since 7/2014. "

Sportsbook Review followed up again with BetMayor seeking to revisit the complaint last night, but was again told that the betting site has no interest in paying the player and firmly believes they acted fairly. The betting site is likely to debut on the SBR Blacklist.

Topbet Sportsbook has been downgraded to C-. The betting site has admittedly been unable to pay a batch of players within their advertised payout time-frame. One player claimed that he was advised that up to 60 players had delinquent payout requests, though management disputed this number and indicated that the number of tardy payouts is closer to 25.
